Bay City Inn

Great place. The best small motel/hotel that I have stayed at in years. Very clean and very friendly accommodating staff. Good restaurants (and fast food joints, if that is your shtick) within close walking distance.

My only complaint is that the beds were much to hard for my taste- but then my body suffers from lots of aches and pains.

Only one table to eat breakfast at, needed more for the number of guests, not couches.

The staff were all wonderful. Especially the man who covered the night shift. They were all vey nice and patient with my partner who doesnt speak well since his stroke. The hotel was very clean, and the towels were amazing.

The coffee brand was not my favorite.

This place is the opposite of fancy, but it¿s the best way to beat the ridiculous weekend rates in B¿ham. The AC was powerful, the water hot, the sheets clean, the towels fluffy, the front desk kind, and the breakfast as good as the rest in town.

Very convenient location to get on the freeway, and close to restaurants and shopping.

The room was old. The furniture was very worn. The AC unit was very loud (but the room seemed stuffy without it running). The bed was comfortable however.

The location for WWU is perfect

In order to effectively communicate I needed to know a foreign language. The sign for the soda/candy is actually indicating go through and then outside the office and across the car travel lanes, not in the area shown.

Pillows were hard as rocks for 100$ a night i expect comfortable bedding. Also no microwave.

Very professional and friendly front end staff. Overall experience was easily 9 out of 10. Only one thing needed improvement was all carpets could have done with a good shampooing, but that wasn't top of the list for rating this hotel. I give 4 1/2 stars

No, not really.

The whole feeling staying here was that I was in a place where the ownership cared about the building, contents, and grounds. I was able to feel safe and comfortable during my stay.

The location is further away than I usually stay from my destination. However, access is very good to and from the freeway.

Easy commute to downtown Bellingham if you walk or bike, lots of nearby hippie chain stores. Free breakfast and a nice morning lobby setup, good wifi. Quiet rooms, thermostats that actually worked, understanding staff, great for privacy.

Carpet smelled a little smoky in one of the rooms, but it went away pretty fast.

It was clean and in a good location for what we wanted to do. Easy freeway access.

A meter ran in a room above us all night, both nights, interfering with our sleep. There was no warning about a $100 deposit being added to my bill when we signed in. The clerk did not explain it as a damage deposit, rather as a room deposit.

they tried 2 give us 2 queens when we booked a king and suck us in the basement.

The heater didn't work properly so I spent a cold night in my room

Close to Interstate 5 for easy access.

The toilet seat did not fit on the bowl properly nor was it secured in such a way that it didn't slide around. Be careful or the seat may pinch or move.

Great value for the money. Friendly staff.

Breakfast advertised but only had a few mini-yogurt containers and a couple of bottles of water. Soda machine was empty and/or out of service. The carpets desperately need deep cleaning or replacing.

This hotel was very inexpensive but very well appointed. I came expecting a Motel 6 experience but found this to be very much like a Marriott hotel, minus the dining accommodations.

I could find no faults to comment about.

The owner is a good hardworking family man, so if you stay here, know he will give you the attention you'd like to have or, not have. Support small business!

Apparently, the parking spaces are made in China. Even compacts leave a space between, back lot is much better...

Disgusted! We pulled into their parking lot and looked for a place to park. A man walked up and asked us what our business was (we were dressed well and driving a BMW). We told him we had just booked a room. He told us to leave and shoo'd us away.

Clean, efficient and pretty decent breakfast, considering the price.
