    Pros +

    • The hotel is on the water with excellent front or side views with fireplaces & windows. You can book an amazing experience at the spa & the restaurant is great. A walking path that goes for miles over the water. Very friendly staff. My favorite place !
    • Feels very comfortable
    • Beautiful location. Spacious rooms with bench seating view of water.

    Cons -

    • A innatentive server one morning & toook our order & delivered the meals, then didn't come back to check on us, not a busy day either
    • We asked the front desk if they had rooms with a softer mattresses for a future visit. They did not, but that they've heard from other guests about the firmness of the beds. They other thing is the trains. Kept getting woke up! :-/
    • The shower head is so high the water doesn't really reach yourle legs. No closet or hangers was inconvenient

The view is by far the best thing! The sitting area in front of the window; allowing for gazing at the water was truly lovely. The big huge tub with plenty of bubble bath, just a delight!

The complimentary eucalyptus steam room was our absolute favorite. As always, we felt pampered in every way, from the delicious restaurant (and robes!) to the friendliness of all staff (front desk, restaurant and especially in the spa).

The room was absolutely divine - but splurge if you can for the rooms with full views - we opted to go with a 'partial view' and it was a room on ground floor near the road- we had to keep the window blinds shut the entire time for privacy.

The vibe. Bathtub with sliding doors so you could watch tv while in the tub. Gorgeous bay view with huge window seat for reading or watching the boats. Spa has some CBD bath salts which were amazing. Hotel also provides bubble bath. Great room service too

Sadly, the fireplace in my room wasn't working, and I couldn't reach front desk around 930 when I tried to get the night maintenance for assistance. That was sad and took away from the experience, but it would have been absolutely perfect if not for that

Location was great. Staff very friendly. Great views. Room was very relaxing. Restaurant on site was better than the average "inn dining room." Much closer to the Fairhaven Historic District than I thought!

We could definitely hear the train as the tracks are near the hotel, but the hotel communicated this on their website- which was greatly appreciated. We knew what we were getting into and it did not detract from our stay at all- is part of the ambiance!

The views were amazing. We were able to walk to town for meals. The room was furnished nicely and the gas fireplace made the room feel warm and cozy.

The train on the 1st night came barreling through, blowing its whistle at 2:30am, 5:30am, and again around 8am. I was exhausted and had driven 9 hours. I was in a deep sleep when the first train came through. Too expensive for the interupted sleep.

Amazing location, stunning views, and great food.

Wonderful room, one of the best I stayed in. Great view, fireplace, huge tub. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Surrounding area was great, loved the boardwalk over the water that led to a nice park and coffee. Free parking was awesome.

Had issues with the TV, an electrician had to come in and fix it. Appreciated the snacks and mini-bar, but it was very pricey. The restaurant was pricey too. A meal with my daughter with no drinks cost over $100. Even the bath soaps cost money.

    10JeanettePosted on: 1-20-2020

The view and the convenience to the Woods Café via the boardwalk. :)

Shampoo and soap were hard to operate. Had to ask to extra ones since the bottle I had was empty.

Great hotel with amazing views! The short walk (three blocks) to Fairhaven and suddenly you have twenty restaurants to pick from is really convenient!

Roscoe the hotel dog and all the staff. The huge tub. The fireplace. And oh those sheets!

    8DavidPosted on: 7-30-2018

Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, great bar and restaurant, very, very nice staff, and we loved 'hotel employee

Love the hotel, not as much a fan of all the trains though, particularly early in the morning. Still, having said that, we'd still stay here again... we'd just be prepared for the trains!

    1Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 11-22-2016

    IT LOOKED NICE

HAD A STRANGE LOUD BEEPING NOISE IN MY ROOM COULDNT FIGURE OUT WHERE IT WAS WENT TO FRONT DESK AND NO ONE WAS THERE. ENDED UP WAITING FOR STAFF TO SHOW UP FOR 45 MINUTES NO ONE DID SO I ENDED UP LEAVING AND NOT EVEN STAYING THE NIGHT THERE.

    10BeatePosted on: 3-30-2016

The view is just fantastic. Location. And closeness to the historic town and the walk to the park on the beautiful sea bridge. Also to have the opportunity to have a spa treatment and rent a bike. Just a very enjoyable time. oh: and the fireplace.

    nothing. really.

    4JohnPosted on: 2-1-2016

Beautiful setting, but near the train tracks....you will get woken up at 6 Am by the trains.

I spent extra money for a room with a jetted tub for two. Guess what? Not enough hot water to even fill it with 12" of water. Very disappointed.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 3-6-2015

Right on the ocean beautiful and awesome! However (see below)

The train going by two feet from the hotel precludes sleeping unless sedated.

I liked the location on the water with the public trail over the water. The staff was super friendly. I liked the window seat with blanket and pillow in our room. The inside of the hotel was very pretty. I had a massage and it was great.

The train during the night! Wasn't bad enough that I wouldn't go again and the hotel did provide earplugs. The lobby area and the women's "locker" room were a little cramped/small. Restaurant was very pricey - quality wasn't that great nor were the por
