Burke Mountain Hotel

My room had a beautiful view! As the sun set it got pinker and pinker. Very clean in my room.

You do have a long walk from the parking lot to the hotel. You can pull up to a drop off area to put your bags in the lobby first. Or if you have people in your party immobile or not able to walk far.

The location is beautiful, and the staff was extremely friendly and understanding about my car issues.

The road leading up has potholes which have me two flat tires. There were also a ton of flies in the window of the room. Three of the electrical sockets did not work.

we went during a very busy time so I suspect that was the cause of our issues but our room was not cleaned well prior to arrival ( dirty linens and a sock from previous occupants in bathroom closet) underside of toilet seat not clean too much to list

We had a one bedroom suite, it was nicely appointed, clean, and spacious. The balcony ran the entire width of the room, which offered nice views of Burke Mountain.

Everything was top notch. Room was great! Gym was far better than I expected. Staff is helpful. Great location.

The views, prices, and room were great.

Dining options are limited and so is the menu. Needs offerings considering how remote this place is. Also there was a wedding going on which made parking harder for us and we were staying here. Need separate visitor parking lot

Beautiful facility and the room was large and clean.

It’s a ski resort so the restaurant was not open because it was the “off season”. The hotel appeared to be full and the bar was overwhelmed and under staffed. We asked for medium cooked burgers and they were past well done and dry.

I loved the amenities and the view from the room. Great food and drink selections and very clean rooms.

There seems to be a staffing problem at this place. I never saw more than one person at the front desk and many times saw no-one.

Hotel had a pipe freeze during an extremely cold period resulting in water damage and closure of more than 50% of the hotel rooms as well as additional spaces. This created an environment where construction and a remedial equipment were located throughout the hotel. Despite this, the hotel did its best to make our February 2023 stay enjoyable. Major issue was either with Bookings.com or the hotel. We booked through Bookings.com and when we arrived at the hotel, not all of the nights we had booked were available. Hotel staff handled this problem reasonably well but there seemed to be a disconnect between the hotel and Bookings.com.

Excellent location.

There was extensive construction going on at the hotel during our stay. The price paid was excessive given that. The parking situation is poor on a good day, given all the parking garage is off limits due to construction and half the spots are also reserved for contractors, I had to park quite a ways away from the hotel. Add to that the fact that the distant hotel parking is also the ski area parking and there were no spots available on the weekend - makes for poor value proposition. Now for the worst part of my experience - without notice, Booking.com cancelled my room less than a week before my arrival. I had PAID IN FULL for two nights over 3 weeks before my stay. I lost my card between the time I booked/paid and arrival so my CC# changed. Booking.com cancelled the room without warning because the card was no longer valid even though the original charge had already gone through and is on my statement. I’m still waiting for my refund from Booking.com because they say it takes 15 days to get a refund. Thankfully the hotel agreed to honor the original reservation and I was able to keep my room - no thanks to Booking.com. Booking.com - I’m finished with you!

Location and size of room.

My first room had a cockroach in it. I had to move to a different room because of it, and they didn’t compensate me for my trouble. Luckily, I didn’t bring any cockroaches home with me.

Need maps for walking trails. No decaf coffee in the room or at the store. No tea in the room.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, locker to store mountain bikes - this wasn't our first stay and we'll stay again. Just need to remember to book early as they quickly get sold out.

Would be helpful to have somewhere to charge electric vehicles over night.

Everything modern and clean. Loved how quiet things were. The rooms have ample space and the kitchenette was wonderful to have.

Restaurant "The View" menu choices were good but limited. The food was excellent for a pub atmosphere. The draft beer selection excellent. Wish that the other restaurant had been open. Would have liked more bed covering and extra pillows in the room.

the shower was extremely nasty. didn’t not look like it had been cleaned properly for a while. Not only the typical hairs. but nasty slimy brown buildup along the floor of shower edge. We used a hand towel and the dishwashing liquid and cleaned it ourselves since it was late and we assumed there were no available rooms to switch to. So gross. It did not match the type of “resort” cleanliness you would expect. worse than a low cost hotel. You could tell other cleaning tasks were rushed through or skimmed over. Also, parking instructions were not explained as throughly as needed. we couldn’t find the proper entrance after walking from designed parking lot. other guests said same thing.
