The Blackburn Inn and Conference Center

The TV in my room didn't work correctly. I reported it the next morning at the desk but nothing was done about it. I don't know if daily maid service was to be expected but my room was not serviced on my second day.

Historic building, immaculate grounds

Room only had one bed and the fold-out was not very comfortable. Lots of echoes from foot traffic on the top floor, next to the spiral staircase to the cupola rooftop.

The proximity to the downtown area. Walkable distance to art galleries, shops, restaurants, and bars.

Lighting in the front of the building would have been helpful when walking back to the hotel at night.

I liked the modern look of the rooms, the bed was super comfortable, and the rooms were quiet.

We had the ac as low as it would go and I was still hot. We went to breakfast at the little restaurant they had and waited 40 min when there weren¿t many other guests there. The floors were super noisy in the room.

Cool historic hotel. Everything was clean. Staff are very friendly. Not too far from downtown, about a 15 minute walk.

Bed was not high quality. The mattress was fine but the bed moved whenever we turned over or got in or out. Needed a firmer base or better bed. Again mattress was fine.

Long and interesting history and architecture. Mysterious but not creepy. The breakfast was very, very good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Such a totally cool place. Definitely a gem!

Nothing not to like. We will go there again I am certain.

No view. All we could see was the back of the AC units. Room was super small and no desk.

There was nothing I didn't like. I was disappointed the bar and restaurant were not open during my early week stay, but I understand the reasoning

Such a charming and expertly refurbished hotel. It¿s unseemly past as an insane asylum and prison is visible if you look for it. But the accommodations, service, small town charm and relaxed atmosphere made this a real win for our stay.

It can be loud with little insulation shielding your room areas from the common spaces.

The building was very unique, rooms were very nice.

The bar/restaurant was not open Thursday evening. At breakfast they were out of items early, they were good to try to substitute other items.

Pretty & historic. Well renovated.

No microwave. Could hear people walking around above us due to wood floors. Only one arm chair. Room a long way from door near elevator and handicap parking.

I love the charm, the design, the staff is wonderful and kind. I felt good there, not overcrowded and very clean. The cafe has great baked good for the morning coffee.

Unfortunately, we actually left a evening early because the beds & pillows were very Uncomfortable.

I loved the historical features, location and overall architecture of this hotel!

I LOVED my room on the 4th floor with access to the roof up the spiral staircase. It was awesome and such a surprise!!!! The front desk staff was very helpful and nice, hotel new and fresh and the history of the hotel was pretty cool.

This Historic hotel was one so amazing. The room was huge, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean. The young lady that I first spoke to on the phone and the young lady that checked us in were both friendly, and eager to answer my questions.

Amazing Character! This Renovated old building has kept many of the old materials and added incredible rain showers and super comfortable beds. The service is spot on Classy and Great! I will be back! I will find an excuse to be back!!!!

Such an interesting place with unique rooms. Very clean and modern

I love the high ceilings in my room and the very large bathroom. It was so nice to be a part of history starting there and the room was very nice.
