Comfort Inn Wytheville - Fort Chiswell

Friendly staff.

Room had noise issues with gap under adjoining room letting both light and noise in. Got little to no sleep with neighbor noise and public restroom on other side of my room.

Good location. The lady tending breakfast was wonderful.

Room badly maintained- sloppy caulking in bathroom, very wobbly shower head, broken bedside lamp

The rooms were large, and it was right off the highway with plenty of places to eat/get gas/park.

The entire floor smelled like wet paint. I ended up with a migraine & barely slept because of it. Even with my door closed it was still strong. The toilet paper roll that was on was wet, which was gross & the beds are at a slant down toward the head.

Nice breakfast and the woman taking care of it was fantastic!

The front desk clerk when we arrived was not welcoming and was difficult to understand.

The staff was able to fix the problems with the room fairly quickly.

The fact that there were the type of problems was not good. A TV that was not connected correctly and the toilet became clogged. The breakfast was passable and not a reason to stay at this property.

Location .

Bed was ROCK HARD. Almost unsleepable. The bathroom had repairs that were not finished.

Clean

I looked online for a dog friendly hotel and paid my bill. When I got there I had to pay another 1/2 the price of the stay for my dogs.

Comfortable, clean and quiet. And location was lovely.

The pool was closed, but it wasn?t a dealbreaker.

Location off of the freeway

Everything, it?s smelled badly of smoke, there were dead bugs in every corner. It was very noisy, the bathroom was dirty. Breakfast was not great. Pool was freezing and did not look clean

The room seemed to be half renovated. Shower water would not stop running and bare wires hanging from where a smoke alarm was

Bathroom sink took a very long time to drain. Faucet on tub was loose. Saw a large cockroach as we were packing up to leave.

Beds were comfortable

The room was showing signs of deterioration which, when attempts were made to repair, were obviously done by amateurs in a very sloppy manor. The management doesn¿t seem to care what the place looks like. The staff, though, was nice.

Choice hotels have went down in recent years, and I will not choose another choice hotel. After driving all day and having to stop and relax in a room that is falling apart it¿s not what I signed up for.

It was close to on and off the interstate.

The location was perfect for us. Next to gas station and our half way point.

If old and outdated. Clean but needs some updates to paint, bathrooms, and doors. Breakfast was nice

Breakfast area was under construction which was ok but a lot of the other common areas need updating.

Pleasantly surprised at how good the breakfast was. Very clean and plenty of choices. The woman on the staff that oversaw the breakfast was excellent. She was working diligently to be sure everything was stocked and tables were clean as guests finished.

Upgrading to a a suite.

They ran out of 1/2 of their breakfast foods by 8am. The attitude seemed to be "oh well". Although very clean smelling, in need of an overall maintenance in rooms and around the facility.

Pool was disgusting! I asked what was wrong and they told me it was a chemical reaction(?)

Leaving. The staff and cleaning people were very friendly and nice. Too bad they have to work in such a gross facility.

The room was disgusting. I couldn¿t use the air conditioner because it blew stinking moldy and mildewed air into the room. The carpeting was so gross I had to strip the sheets off of the extra bed and lay them over the carpet just to walk around.
