    Pros +

    • The staff was very friendly. The room was immaculate. We were permitted to check-in a bit early, which was also appreciated. They have an excellent hot breakfast selection. This is a great choice in Charlottesville and right downtown.
    • Really comfortable and nicely-designed suites, perfect location between UVA and the downtown pedestrian mall
    • The atmosphere of the lobby and breakfast room.

    Cons -

    • I am sure the hotel policy of no non-slip mat for the tub/shower is well-meaning given the pandemic, but the bathtub surface is slippery and frightening for the elderly. For us, a non-slip floored walk-in shower would have been greatly preferred.
    • Upon check in we were told that breakfast was served until 10; however, when we went down for breakfast at 9, it was getting closed up. I asked about this and the woman working was extremely rude.
    • Hotel is located at a busy intersection. The noise from the street, cars, people, was extremely unpleasant. I was unable to sleep. For being a newer hotel, the window soundproofing should have been considered a must do.

The rooms were clean and spacious. It was nice having two beds and a pull out sofa, as well as a refrigerator and microwave.

Believe this is a newer hotel. The room, kitchen, bath, were very nice. Very relaxing in the room except for noise from the street. Interior walls, door, very wall insulated.

    The room and facilities

    9Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 8-14-2019

Cleanliness of the hotel was better than I had seen in a while.

Signs for parking were not easy to find when using mapping software like google maps to get to the hotel.

    Room and staff were exceptional

    9BrettPosted on: 2-18-2026

A nice continental breakfast is included, but also cooking and eating equipment are in the suite. A comfortable couch and bed, a spacious work desk, room to do yoga. A really nice open shower with all possible safety equipment.

    I liked it all!

    Friendly staff. Breakfast was good

    Bed was very firm

The location is the only thing good about this facility. It's walkable to anything that's downtown-ish and close to the campus.

The room was poorly maintained - the door frame to the bathroom was falling apart, there was mold in the group of the shower, towels were dirty and stained, kitchen utensils were not clean.

    Nice hotel very clean

The king mattress in the 1 bedroom is hard as a brick I thought it would have a much nicer mattress.

Great location. Liked having a kitchen - had the necessities to make meals. Would be nice to have a small bottle of oil. Staff were friendly and nice.

Location/cleanliness/size of room, comfort of bed

Wifi didn't work well, had to be on the bed to get a good signal.

    Breakfast

They gave us a very noisy room, and despite requesting a change several times, they refused, arguing that the hotel was fully booked. This may have been true the first two days (it was the weekend), but false the next two days, as it wasn't fully booked. We didn't feel they were accommodating our just and logical request. Bad

I had a convention at the Omni( which is much more expensive) and the Marriott was Right in front. Besides being next to the walking mall downtown.Very practical. The staff is super nice and helpful. It is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are big and useful. It's clean. Breakfast is very rich. Nice gym and pool.

I have to admit that I have not been to the States in the last 20 years, so it was a shock for me to see the increase of the prices . It is a very nice hotel but a bit overpriced...compared to what I used to pay years ago, but reasonably priced compared to the other hotels nearby. The mattress was a bit full of craters ( holes).
