Friendly and helpful staff, great room, good restaurant and bar

Proximity to UVA medical center. Staff was super nice.

Plastic utensils and plates. Get some real dishes and silverware especially for room services. Hard to cut a steak with a plastic knife on a plastic serving container.

Clean, close to downtown and UVA

Nice boutique hotel located centrally between UVA and downtown mall. Room is very nice, and had great natural light. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and made for a great night's rest.

Parking is $18/night, but there is ample street parking nearby.

Room and hotel were very nice, i would stay again in the future.

However one elevator was down for service leaving the remaining one a bit crowded and slow. Also they need additional staff at the Valet during check-out time frame, the guy working was very nice but needed some assistance

The Draftsman really exceeded our expectations. The staff was some of the friendliest I have encountered at any property. They really went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our anniversary stay.

The mattress was too hard, but that's individual taste. Hated the lighting in the room. Wasn't able to turn the light between the beds off except from the wall by the door. The showerhead was mounted about a foot too low and I'm only 5'5'

The interior is beautiful! And the location is great for access to UVA hospital. It was relaxing to walk to my appointments.

We didn't know until we arrived that there is an $18 parking fee.

The hotel was great, but room service and the restaurant were closed because of Covid. This hotel could really use a pool. If it did, it would be perfect!

Sound proofing. It was very quiet, to the point of thinking I might be the only guest.

I asked for a second robe, I was delivered one with no belt tie. Really? I also left my jacket hanging in the closet when I left. But when I came back for it that evening, It was handed to me in a ball. Very unprofessional. And no vending machines!

Very positive experience staying at the hotel. Location was great for us (just down from The Corner) and walking distance to the downtown area and grounds. Staff were very courteous and accommodating. Valet team were amazing and always ready to help. Room was modern, clean and spacious. We also ate in the hotel restaurant (The Ridley) which was very good. All in all we were impressed with the hotel on many levels and will stay again when we are back in town.

really don't have anything to fault the hotel on. They were experiencing issues with one of the elevators whilst we were there. Hotel staff were very accommodating and made it work with the minimum disruption to us which was appreciated.

They were wonderful when we had friends visiting. They let them park at the hotel while we went to the UVA game.

The only thing was I didn’t think there was enough staff in the restaurant attached on a UVA game day. There was only 2 waitstaff and 1 host and it was super busy.

So many things to love! Great location, no need to rent a car, walked everywhere. The Restaurant in the hotel!!!! We ate there 5 times in 3 days. Southern cuisine done right!!!! The bar knows what they’re doing too. Our room was very clean, well purposed and best of all…..quiet! Definitely will stay here Everytime we come to Charlottesville! Can’t speak highly enough and I’m a pickle to please
