Crystal Gateway Marriott

Direct access to metro, large comfortable hotel, large room and nice quality, nice turn down service, accommodating and nice valets. Ana from Marriott Bonvoy was lovely and very helpful.

Poor service for the most part, especially at breakfast. Felt like they were doing you a favor taking your order or clearing a table. One waitress was very good, but most were quite sour faced. Requested an extra blanket 3 times before it was finally sent. Checkout also wasn’t a very nice experience they were busy doing other things. Feels like they may be understaffed and/or underpaid so they are sour. All in all might come again due to Metro and rooms being nice but will look for other options first. Expected more from such a hotel.

Unfortunate that shower pan leaked whenever used.Would have rated higher if convenience of shuttle to DCA could be provided for early flights (0600 departs). Metro doesn't run this early either, but plenty of Ubers close by.Outside your control, but very few Crystal Gateway shops actually open in the tunnels. Thus not much added value there, other than convenient to the Metro.

It was my wife's bday. The staff gave us an upgrade (as Marriott Members) to have lounge access the weekend. The location is fantastic, as we stay in this area often this is one of the best locations. We booked a suite (#508) it was the perfect room on the perfect floor. We had a little view of the Potomac River. This review would not be complete without me discussing the shower. Your hotel has the "BEST SHOWER EVER", the body jets and sprays were amazing, but it was the water pressure. Also your shampoo and conditioner in the shower was great for my hair. Your hotel has the BEST water pressure of any hotel in the area. In any business it is the people that make it special. Your staff was amazing and very helpful. I needed to purchase balloons for my wife's birthday and could not find any place. They directed me to Harris Teeter who had exactly what I needed. We have always wanted to stay here and I am very glad we did. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit. Thank you

Long walk from the front desk to the elevator.

Room was clean.

Dining service was adequate. However, a charge showed up on my card that do not know what it is for: $38.91.

The location was great

The cost for parking was extremely high and was not mentioned when we booked; at check-in staff did not inform us that there are two separate elevator towers on different sides of the building and didn't inform us which ones were ours- numerous other guests were also confused as to how to find their "right" elevator and where it was located. The pillows were terrible, and the rooms were not very clean.

The staff service was excellent. Great location.

Our room was a little too cold. We tried to adjust the thermostat but it didn't work. Maintenance came and tried but had to accommodate us with a space heater.

The space in the room and its cleanliness. Its location was close to Washington DC

We had to ask for more water, toothbrushes and toothpaste. It wasnt given when we first arrived and was not refilled after house keeping.
