Hampton Inn Alexandria-Old Town/King Street

The staff. They were by far the friendliest out of the 4 hotels we stayed in on our driving vacation. So glad we were there 4 nights. Torrey was an enormous help with the Metro, we had never had to use a Metro. Breakfast was great, rooms were clean.

Location and ease of parking. Price was just right. Beds were extremely comfortable.

One of the two elevators was not functioning. It made getting around the building tricky at times. I heard they were waiting for a new part.

Great location. Close to train station and metro.

The mattress was awful! Did not sleep at all because the mattress was so bad. Wasted money. Should have stayed elsewhere. Asked for toiletries, never received them. The shower had nothing. Should have been caught my cleaning staff before we checked in.

The staff was very friendly and inviting. They were very helpful and provided a warm atmosphere.

The room was very clean but in need of some repairs that I would expect to be done for a hotel that costs over $--- a night. There was nothing significantly wrong with the room and it was very clean. It just needed some TLC.

Location, parking, great staff. Room overlooking street that was decorated for Christmas.

Location. Close to the Amtrak station and Old Town Alexandria.

Could not get the air conditioner to stay consistent

Unable to connect to Wi-Fi. Having to request housekeeping each morning. We were there 3 days & our garbage was never removed.

Staff were nice, helpful.

Room readiness upon arrival not met; bathroom light not working, tub area not very clean (possibly the tub needs replaced), carpet stained. Room over-priced for accommodations.

The staff was excellent. The ladies at the front desk more than professional. Kudos to them. The lady working the breakfast was very attentive to everything.

The parking garage and the cost of parking there seemed expensive. Don¿t know what other options would be available. First time to DC.

The location and the cleanliness

Alcohol would be nice as well as a bar in door

For train travelers the location is just perfect.

The listing advertises a pool, which is why I chose this hotel for my daughter and I. She was incredibly disappointed when we arrived and we were told the pool had been closed for over two years. This is false advertising, and we won¿t come back.

The beds were very hard felt like you were sleeping on bricks and they were very small you could barely fit two people in them. The bathroom door did not close, the door was to big for the door way. I did report that to the front desk.

My eyes were almost swollen shut and my throat was so sore bc the hotel was musty & smelled like old cigarette smoke. Bfast was disgusting. Staff was rude about not giving us adjoining rooms. Toilet didn¿t work. Garage is a nightmare & barely any spots

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel location was great and staff was friendly.

Breakfast was limited. Elevators could be upgraded, they were old and slow.

The parking was not free. It was $20 per day. The parking facility (which was in the basement of the hotel) was not adequate. The parking spaces were too small!
