The Island Hotel Near Beach Port Aransas

Our room was great, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the bathroom was clean and great, great water pressure. The breakfast was good.

The only thing was the people upstairs sounded like they were dropping bowling balls, and the ones next door turned their tv up so loud there was no drowning that tv out. But that was not the hotels problem.

This hotel was very basic for the cost and the description said beach front and this was definately not beachfront

Swimming pool

Very minimal staff from house keeping to the breakfast room. Had to ask front desk staff to refill coffee containers to waffle dispenser. Had only two house keepers for entire hotel. Our room was never cleaned on our entire stay.

The pool was awesome. The employees were very nice and accommodating.

The hotel needs updating. The website said laundry facilities and it was non existant, no hot breakfast, we were supposed to have a suite with a coach and kitchen, we didn't have a coach.

Location approximation to the beach within walking distance of certain places affordable staff was very pleasant

Walls are a bit thin so could be loud at times and I could smell cigarette smoke

The groudsmen seemed to be hard workers

They nickel and dime you. You are charged $50.00 EXTRA to check in at 3pm verses 4pm. The breakfast was a joke. The first impression received was not welcoming. They have outdoor furniture but there is a note stating hotel guest are not allowed to use.

Room was dirty. Cigarette butts and trash on the ground.

The rooms smelled clean, beds were comfortable and there was coffee. AC worked good as well.

There was hair on the shower wall, no towels, had to ask for them. Had a strange guy going around knocking on doors in normal clothing, no uniform testing the key cards with a programmer. Asked why this individual was there, apparently key card issue???

The floors took forever to dry and were super slippery when wet. Our phone in the room wasn¿t working. And thin walls we could hear everything. Especially all the dogs going crazy at 6 am

The staff was outstanding. They were happy to serve every time I needed them. The location was great for the part of the beach we like to go to. And it¿s out of the crowded part of the island, but close enough to what we needed.

The lights outside on the porch were bright and the curtains in the room let way too much light in and made it hard to sleep. The beds were a little too hard for me. The sink had low water pressure.

Convenient location

Quite noisy - only a few rooms were occupied but the noise from people above and beside was a lot. Thought the should have staggered the rooms rather than clustering them.

Location was nice close to lots of things in the area

Room was dirty, floor was nasty and not cleaned, chemicals so strong from the bathroom we could barely stay in there..we had to open the window to air it out. Multiple flies in the room. Not a good experience at all.. shower and towels had black hair on

It was very clean and they did provide essentials when we asked,

They did not clean the rooms when we were out. That's the only thing that we did not approve of. But, a pretty nice place overall!

The price

Limited parking, wasn't able to secure downstairs room due to my handicap, people smoking marijuana.

Older hotel. Needs a little fixing up but overall for its age it¿s in great shape. Very clean. Very quiet at night. Quiet location at the end of all the busy island. Staff is very friendly. Small breakfast but enough to fill you up. Very clean towels.

It¿s a non smoking hotel. People sit right outside their room doors and smoke. So every time you open your door the smoke smell gets in.

How clean the it was and how it provided a good amount and good quality of bathroom utilities.

The a/c needs to have its filters changed, room was too humid with and not meeting the temperature the a/c was set at.

Friendly staff, great location.

Heater smelled so couldn¿t use it. Towels had hair on it, toilet was clogged when we got there. But staff was great and fast on getting it unplugged. Expect a motel type experience.

Loved how close the hotel was to the beach. Price was excellent. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

Great price, clean, friendly staff, close to beach and restaurants. Pet friendly.
