Garner Hotel La Porte Bay Area by IHG

This hotel was convenient to our destination location. The staff was friendly and very service oriented. Housekeeping was excellent. The rooms were large. The breakfast and the choices were good.

This location is currently going through renovation. The ice machines not always working.

we were checked it to dirty room where room was smoked in, bathtub full of mud ,toilet was dirty.

The beds were way to firm. I woke up with a terrible backache

The room exceeded my expectations. It was very large, including the bathroom. Everything well placed from the lounge seating area, to the coffee/fridge/microwave combo unit. More than ample desk space + bed linens were clean, & attractive on comfy bed.

I like the space in the room and that it was on the first floor since I don't do elevators alone. I like the free breakfast.

I didn't like that my shower head did not work and since it was the weekend there was no one to fix it as I was told my the desk clerk.

Unclean unfriendly and not accommodating at all

Staff told me pool was closed let other guest in the pool... And had spiders in the room and anything I asked for was taken as a inconvenience

Water draining in the bathtub was too bad and the faucet in the sink was broken

While the hotel was making improvements, the sounds never reached us or disturbed us at all. The staff was friendly and very welcoming.

Unnecessary CCOVID protocols for breakfast. They could simply provide gloves and let us serve ourselves.

There was no buffet or breakfast as advertised.The room smelt like cigarette smoke and pet.The pool had small metal shards that broke off a cleaning tool, 3 pieces stuck in my grand daughters foot.

the exterior is still somewhat inconvenient due to ongoing reconstruction but tolerable however the all new room decor more than makes up for that

The plugs on the left side didnt work. The plugs on the desk didnt work. That was the only struggle we had. Well also the tv was dirty.

We were not informed It was under renovation, so upon arrival, hotel looked closed. The pillows in room 109 are super small, very uncomfortable.

was not advised at check-in that the room would mot be cleaned daily due to current covid conditions, currently under re-construction at the outside entrance

The 2 room suite we changed to. That's it.

NONE of the employees we encountered were friendly. Very uncharacteristic for CS. Clogged toilet the first night. All the front desk did was give me a plunger. The carpet going into the bathroom was messed up and we stepped on carpet nails. Nothing good.

Horrible experience due to guests playing loud music, smoking marijuana in the hallway and the rude front desk worker who reluctantly agreed to move me and my kids to another place in hotel. We will never stay here again

all employees were very friendly and helpful (especially the breakfast lady). breakfast was great. rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. cost was reasonable.
