Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas DFW Airport North/Irving

Nothing - it's an unmanaged property with poor management and customer service. The housekeeping and maintenance are worst managed, on top of it management of the property does not care about the guests including the GM of the property.

Housekeeping staff and poor maintenance. Basic hygiene issues, our room 104 was full of bed bugs and had to do chemical treatment, A/C water leakages, TV not working etc. Even escalating to GM of the property and customer care did not help.

Location was good

The first room a/c did not work, the room smelled musty and the tv was broken. The second room was better. work, the TV did not work

Breakfast

Safety concerns: The entry door on the back side of the building provides no security. It does not close completely and there?s no locking mechanism. It?s not safe especially for people in the rooms on that side of the building.

Great room. Clean. Great breakfast.

Waited for 20 minutes to check in at the lobby with no one there. A line formed behind us and no one came. They put us on the 2nd floor with a broken elevator (heavy bags and elderly parents with us)

Leaving

They struggled to check us in. The keys didn¿t work, and I had to walk back to the office 3 times and then they came and opened it but it was locked from the inside. So they got us another room. Woke early to a noisy ladder outside our window. Worst exp.

Large rooms.

Right under the flight path! Noisy when early morning traffic starts.

Workout room was aged at best¿it probably goes with the times but smell of pot was in the hallways. Staff was friendly and helpful¿

It was clean. Easy parking.

Marriott REALLY needs some updates here. Popcorn ceilings and weird-smelling hallways, a sofa bed that was so saggy my husband slept on the ground, so many coats of paint covering stuff up we couldn¿t even close the door without a full-body push¿

Cleanliness

This is an airport hotel. Their website says that they offer a hotel shuttle. The website doesn¿t say that the shuttle doesn¿t run between 10 pm and 5am. Plenty of travelers including us have flights that arrive between 10 pm and midnight.

Breakfast was very nice! Waffles were delicious and coffee was strong.

Room wasn¿t cleaned well before we checked in. There was a dirty wig on the ground by the desk. Asked the front desk if the pool was heated because our kids wanted to swim, was told yes it was. Got swim attire and life jackets only to find out it was not.

Clean well maintained property. Room has been recently re-done and is well appointed. Decent hot buffet breakfast.

It is a drive to find a restaurant.

The staff was so nice and helpful! We had an unexpected stay when our flight was canceled. This was not easy with 3 young kids, plus we didn't have our luggage, so we were very grateful for how they helped us get settled and provided what we needed.

Close to the airport and clean large room

We didn't ask for it but they put us in the very 1st room closest to the hotel desk.

Even though there were airplanes flying overhead you couldn't hear them inside the room, the hotel was acquired the property well-maintained and super clean

Close to the airport, the shuttle driver was so nice and helpful and took us to a great place for dinner, the room was way nicer than expected. The pictures when booking are old. They should update them because it is so nice.

Staff was friendly and hot breakfast provided!

There was yellow jackets in the room but once I killed them that was the end of them.

It smelled clean. It was roomy, we liked the setup.

The toilet was not clean. The steam from the shower set off the smoke alarm.

Hotel staff were incredibly rude lady was very aggressive and not hospitable I left because she was so rude
