Aloft Houston Downtown

The location was good. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Room was very dark when sleeping with no noise from outside the room.

The a/c barely worked. It was very hot until the sun went down. The shower gave a dirty vibe. Felt like I needed shower shoes. The toilet seat was visibly dirty. I had to clean it before using. The bar downstairs had no one working it. We had to go to the rooftop bar. They said there was a large group up there so the employees from the downstairs had to go help upstairs. There were only two people at the bar upstairs with 4 people total at the pool/bar. The elevator was a hot box that smelled of body odor. Most of the staff were friendly with a couple of exceptions. Not worth the money I paid for it at all. I even cancelled my upcoming reservation due to my experience this time. Will never go back.

Nice location, safe, quiet, friendly staff, parking available across the street, comfortable and quiet.

The location is great for all the activities we did/wanted to do.

Although it is pet friendly, there’s very few places to take animals to the bathroom. I know it’s downtown so that’s difficult.

Bed was comfy, shower was wide and location was good, staff is friendly. Rooms were clean. Value for a downtown location

The lobby doors are locked most of the day. Checked in at 7pm and I was stuck outside banging on glass doors to get inside before a guest exited the building only to find the staff not too far away. Very limited details upon check in like wifi and how the breakfast worked and times. Food was lacking. Staff although friendly was basically non existent.

The hallway and room smelled horrible. Like weed, it was on my clothes when I walked in the hallway and it was so bad
