Blacksmith Quarters on Barons Creek

The location was great. The grounds were very nice and quiet. The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was large and clean. Loved the fireplace and the bed faced it. Very romantic. Two issues. The blind for the window was broken so we could not have a view. Also, being in an area of a wine area it lacked wine glasses. Would definitely recommend it.

Comfortable and great location

Absolutely gorgeous property with the charm of Fredericksburg located right on Main Street. You can’t beat the location — you step out front and you have loads of restaurants and shops within walking distance. But also, for being so close to the action, it’s still quiet and peaceful. Beautifully decorated and well appointed with high end sheets, towels, mattresses, furniture, etc. The beds were SUPER comfy, AC worked great, and the hot tub and fireplace in our own private courtyard were nice extra amenities! Each bedroom in our three bedroom house had its own bathroom. The primary bedroom had a bathroom bigger than some apartments! Parking was somewhat limited but always available. Overall we loved our stay and definitely plan to return!

We were a disappointed that their website said the three bedroom house had a full kitchen but it only had a kitchenette. Seeing the photos only have a kitchenette I reached out to confirm there would be plates, kitchen knives, cutting board, etc. since I planned to bring cheese and crackers for a snack and stuff to make sandwiches and a picnic lunch for exploring wineries (planning to bring from home if they didn’t have it). I was told the kitchenette would have all of that and they could provide anything specific I found to be unavailable but unfortunately there were no knives or cutting boards and they were not able to provide them. Honestly it was a really random kitchen items - they had two glass cake stands but no knives? Also no way to wash dishes you dirty since no sponge or rag was provided.
