Sunset Lodge Elgin near US 290 by Hotel O

Location

Everything was very old... for the price of over $--- a night I expected much more... the door safety lock was broke off.... felt very uneasy all night.

Room was very clean, location was very good for me,

Rooms are very small, awkward floor plan, king bed is too big for these tiny rooms, rack on the wall that I banged my head on more than once going around the bed. staff did not speak good English, had trouble getting coffee, etc.

Nothing!!! Carpet was dirty, mole on the ceiling and the rest room was very small.

Location was right in the center of town. Very clean and updated.

Very nice staff. Very quiet location. Beds were comfy enough and mostly clean. No bugs. There is a restaurant on the property, but we didnt try it. You can park right outside your door.

The motel is dated. There were a few stains on the curtains & towels. There was a washcloth left in the shower. Some mildew stains on shower curtain.

For the price, I felt we got everything we needed. In general, the room was very clean.

The hand soap by the wash basin was useless, and sort of an insult. The soap in the tub area was nice. The vent of the air conditioner had lint in it on the side. A smaller brush was needed to remove the lint.

Clean, comfy bed

Wifi was free but no password given &office was closed when we got in later that night. No carafe in the coffee maker

Night staff clerk was very helpful- room was clean.

Blow dryer didn't work- tried calling office to ask for another one and realized the phone was broken as well. No iron in room nor available at office for use either. Morning clerk very very rude when asked for these items.

Nothing!

The bathtub wouldn't drain. There were whiskers and hair left on the shower wall. The only reason we stayed was because when I booked the room, it was the only one left in town .

Excellent location! Biggest restroom I've ever seen.
