    • I never got the chance to experience the hotel so I can’t answer this question. Maybe the location of anything was the best part of being in the hotel in general, I guess.
    • They have persevered the place and it has a lot of potential to make the most of it.
    • Sharing bathrooms with Illegal Immigrants. This is worse than a motel. Stop calling it a hotel.

    Cons -

    • The fact that the man at the front desk told me he would accept my forms of ID and then changed his mind after I purchased the room and tried to check in, that’s what I liked least about the hotel.
    • Well, they claim the noise in the hallway is due to it being old. The room and restroom smells because its old. The club next door is loud because the hotel is old. The thermostat didnt work well, because it is old.
    • Room omits some sort of chemical smell that irritates nostrils even after days checking out. AC not working. You have to share bathrooms with Illegal Immigrants.

    Downtown location

Bed was garbage. Noise from drunks at bar below rooms past 3 a.m.

    Overal aesthetics and location.

No running water during my stay and no a/c were deal breakers. No working elevator, broken vending machine, cash only drinks at the front desk, and no fan in the room as advertised. Toilet wasn't anchored to floor. Please make improvements!

Staff was very helpful with local information and in getting settled in the Hostel (stayed there, not in the hotel part).

Most hostels have a small reading light in the bunks. This is useful not just for reading but tor packing and unpacking instead of turning the room light on and waking everyone up. This hostel does not provide that, would suggest adding item.

Its character and period charm... Friendly & knowledgeable staff... Location... The noise & lack of heat make it less of a bargain than it seems...

The obvious is it is above several bars that rock-n-roll until after 2am... The last call is palpable... The heat is sparingly in supply and there were no blankets in the room... But all I. All I like the hotel quirks and all... Improvements could help...

The sitting lobby with TV and the view from the room window.

Prices on the snacks and food was a little too high

Dirty, noisy, small, and overall gross. How did this even get two stars?!?

The hotel has its original 1920s charm, but upgraded to ensure the rooms were up to standard. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The staff were lovely and helpful. We loved this place!

Depending on your room location, it can be noisy outside with the nearby bars (but we would still recommend this place!). There is no free coffee, which is a disappointment.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our needs.

The cooling system was in the hallway and our room was hot. The staff said to "crack" the window in the room and the window above the door to cool our room. However the hotel was next to a bar and the bar patrons were very loud well past 330 am

    Location

Shabby, barely habitable old rooms. I have nothing positive to note. The The night desk gentleman checked my in to a room already occupied. As I searched for the light I heard his angry surprised cry. I thought he was scrambling for a weapon, but n

    I loved the old charm

Didn’t like the fact that the key to the room is a regular key that anybody can make a copy of instead of a key card

Spotless and charming historic hotel. Simple and practical .Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice kitchen and dining tables downstairs. Excellent location to walk into Juarez for dental appointment. Proximity to many good places to eat.It was quiet and no one else in the hostel room my first 2 nights. Guests who came in were quiet and respectful.

There is a loud bar nearby. The first night (Sun) it was really noisy but but I was so tired I could sleep through anything. And, the staff had advised me and they do offer earplugs. The electric plugs were loose, for trying to plug a phone charger in, and a bit distant from the bed so I couldn't sit or lay in bed and use my phone while it was charging. I would have liked a little clip lamp or book light for inside my curtained bunk. No cup or glass in room. Needed to ask for a cup for water. No bath mat . When I realized it, I was ready to get in the shower & didn't want to bother to get re-dressed to go downstairs to ask for one. After showering, my socks got soaked when I walked back into the bathroom.
