Holiday Inn Express & Suites Childress by IHG

Room was clean, I’m very picky when it comes to clean. Mattress cover needed to be washed but the sheets and covers were clean, I checked. Best breakfast, biscuits and gravy, sausage, fresh pancake machine, fruit, juices, coffee and more. Friendly staff

The entrance was a little hard to find. Had to go through Walmart parking lot to get to it.

The fire alarm made a noise as if a speaker was on and had static. The noise kept me up all night. The hotel was booked so I couldn’t be moved. The maintenance man could not fix it. The tile in the bathroom was falling off the wall.

Room was clean and comfortable.

Pet fee was $50 a night! This was an almost 50% markup on the room when I checked in. I have traveled for years with my small senior dog, and I regularly pay pet fees of $15 or $20 a night. This was the most expensive pet fee I have EVER paid.

The bed was comfortable.

Room was filthy. Exposed electrical sockets behind the bed (fire hazard). Possible evidence of bedbugs. Noisy at night and early morning. Low shower head. No water guard in wheelchair accessible room so floor was always wet. I would not return.

People were very nice. It was under construction so everything in lobby was not completed. Breakfast was good.

The beds were older and need replaced. Linens were clean looking. Shade on window was broken and could not get to go up and down. A lot of workers staying on floor we were on and were very loud. Saturday night they had a party somewhere and all night

Stayed 10 days. Great free hot breakfast every day.

Hotel was going thru some renovation but a nice hotel with excellent staff. The hotel entry road is hard to see in the dark.

Hotel is showing its age a little but work was going on as well. Would stay there again.

Off the freeway in quieter location.

Avoid room 102. Next to stairwell door which slammed open and shut all night long. Housekeepers must be stretched too thin because a brightly colored Froot Loop was present on the door threshold, and chocolate candy drops were near the bed.

The room was very clean and spacious.

Due to the construction, it was tricky finding the entrance. The GPS instructed to go to the wrong side of the highway.

The staff were very friendly

Shower water pressure was low, the shower drain would not drain, could not use the pool due to it being out of order, the bathroom door would not latch or lock and our main door you had to push it in really hard in order for it to lock.

The staff was the best part. Great service.

The entrance is very difficult to find. It is through a Walmart parking lot and I had to wait while 18wheelers parked for the night to enter. The TV only worked on 1 channel. Decent stay but it did make me question the holiday inn Express brand.

Convenient location.

It's dirty. Doors do not soft close so you hear slamming doors at all hours of the night. No OJ or water at breakfast at 630am. Rooms and hallways are very dirty.

Breakfast was delicious, and the staff members were friendly. Easy and plentiful parking.

Shockingly poor quality for a "Holiday Inn Express" branded hotel. My room had numerous poor-quality repairs, stains on the tub, etc. It became clear very quickly that the owners don't care about the guest experience. Very disappointing overall.

Location is removed from the highway so no traffic noise. Included breakfast very adequate with typical choices of yogurt, cereal, eggs, and bacon.

Still in a state of ongoing renovation. Trim pieces still missing around the baseboards. Tub had chunk of porcelain missing. Paint splattered on the back of the bathroom door. Lighting very dim in room and public spaces except the bathroom.

It was a decent bed & place to sleep. Breakfast ok.

Insects in the room. Ants were crawling around everywhere. Outdated and worn out

The hotel was very very clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the location was perfect!

Getting to the hotel parking was a bit challenging because there¿s no entrance to the parking lot from the main road. I didn¿t see the sign in the Walmart parking lot for the road that ran next to Walmart to the hotel. But once there, it was great!

Clean and comfortable room. Very helpful staff. Delicious breakfast.
