    Pros +

    • The room and location was great. Nice and clean. They didn't charge for pets so it was even better.
    • These Cabins are directly on Lake Buchanan with individual little piers to fish from or to get into the water for a swim. Very quiet, the room was very clean and the other guests staying there were very friendly and knowledgable about the area.
    • From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the scenic views of Lake Buchanan. The expansive lake and surrounding nature were absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful weekend. Whether relaxing on the deck or kayaking on the water, the views were incredible. The atmosphere of the Oasis was incredibly quiet and peaceful, offering a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and cozy, with all the modern amenities I needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. I also loved the variety of outdoor activities available. I spent most of my time swimming, kayaking, and hiking around the area—everything was right at my doorstep. Lastly, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed and offering helpful suggestions for nearby activities. They really made my stay feel special.

    Cons -

    • I was really upset at the fact that there was no water. I chose the location for the scenery and the lake was close, and when we arrived it was dried. The price I paid did match the whole experience even if it was labor day.
    • That is was booked and we couldn't stay longer. Not a bad thing for the cabins but our family was sad to leave. The kids absolutely enjoyed it and we couldn't have been happier for our kids to experience something so cool right before school.
    • Ants, spider webs and dead caterpillars inside. Nasty and dirty patio and grill. Don’t recommend.

If I’m being picky, the only downside was the bugs. Since the Oasis is near the water and surrounded by nature, there were a few mosquitoes, and I ended up with a couple of bites. It’s nothing out of the ordinary for a place like this, but definitely something to keep in mind. A little bug spray did the trick, but it’s worth mentioning just in case you’re planning a trip during warmer months.

How close it was to the lake.

No TV in our room when others had one. Could have swore when I booked it said we would have a 4k TV. Also the ants were insane. Keep all food up or in bags. They were in beds and the cabinets.

The temperature was in excess of 100 degrees and when I opened the door to the studio, the air conditioning had been turned on in advance and the room was nice and cool. The television was set to a music channel and it presented a very inviting atmosphere. We sat on the covered patio and enjoyed the breeze while overlooking the dry lake. We liked having the equipped kitchen to cook our own breakfast.

    Lake Buchanan was extremely low.

It's definitely glamping, you will find a peaceful secluded area. It's rural, I loved the peace and quiet. The view is beautiful. The rocks are gorgeous. We took our pets and were able to make ourselves at home, that's the best! For that reason we're definitely coming back again and again.

There was a big spider on our door greeting us on our arrival. I feel like the cleaning crew could use another period of training and teaching to pay attention to detail. It's not too much to remove the window screens and clean them, dust away cob webs. Good housekeeping also keeps pests away. The queen mattress in our room has a sink hole in the middle and probably needs to be replaced. It's definitely better than camping though lol! The water level has receded a lot, but no one can control that.

Pretty view, easy check in and friendly people, the bathroom and beds were clean

Lots of bugs and cobwebs, room needs a good cleaning with attention to doorways and windows. Had to sweep when we got there because of all the bugs on the floor, and the pergola out back is stuff of nightmares with all the spiders and webs covering it! Needs some serious pest control

Little disappointing, lake is dry, no view, only interaction we had with staff was via the app, bed was ok to sleep in.

Nothing as advertised, lake is dry, maybe just a heads up before arrival?

    1TonyPosted on: 10-22-2023

Nothing really - very basic. In fairness we expected that but the reason we booked was the lakeside location - however the lake has dried up. While I appreciate nothing can be done about those conditions this is not a recent event so pictures showing the lake full etc are misleading.

As above - completing this because I think it important that Booking.com know about the misleading characterisation of the property as lakeside.

    6MichelePosted on: 5-28-2023

    I didn't receive a breakfast

The mattress needs to be replaced and the pillows were like rocks. We had a family of 3, but there were only 2 washcloths.

    horrible

it catfished us. it had old pictures. The water is all dried up!

    6DaniellePosted on: 3-27-2023

Very quiet. Near the lake. Tons of stars and country walks. Enjoy the kitchenette and having coffee on the porch. Just a super chill no nonsense place. Great for fishers or people who just want a quiet country get away.

It is no frills, which is not necessarily a "don't like" Its clean and comfy enough. Don't cone with high expectations or friends that are divas.

    6DonnaPosted on: 3-21-2023

It was a last minute booking for spring break and I did not do my due diligence, we arrived to find that the "lake front" property has no lake front access due to the extremely low level of the lake. The house was not fancy, as I expected, but it was extremely clean. We only stayed one of the two nights that I booked and traveled on for a different adventure. The only real drawback was the lake level, otherwise all was good.

    7DorothyPosted on: 12-27-2022

It was a small quaint cabin. There were deer all over the place.

The Lake was really low due ti drought. There was no TV. Still not a deal breaker. There were a lot of spiders & webs.

    close to Burnet and Llano

Needs some updates. good for hunters. Not necessarily others

We like being together with family. The space in the cabin was good..

We were not informed that the lake had receded significantly by hundreds of meters from the cabins and when we arrived it was very much disappointing! The pictures on the booking website do not reflect the real situation. If we had known we would not have ordered. The sitting area outdoor was full of cobwebs..it didn't feel like there was proper maintenance

    9HousePosted on: 10-1-2022

Excellent clean and neat cabin.Loved watching the deer in the evenings.

Unfortunately the lake was very low.

    It was on the lake

The water level, was very low, long walk to get to the water. Pictures are desiving.
