    Pros +

    • Roomy and attractive accommodations. The public areas of the inn are beautiful and it is in a lovely setting.
    • A charming European-style, resort-like hotel in a beautiful, bucolic area of Tennessee.
    • Everything was excellent. Location, staff, facility, and food.

    Cons -

    • The restaurant was good, but I expected it to be exceptional.
    • The food in the Dinning Room left a bit to be desired. It's about one notch up from bar fare. We had three meals in the Dinning Room over two days and noted the wait staffing was slim thus the servers were not every attentive. Even the bar staff stressed.
    • Maid service did not come in my room after I left out of the room the first day.

The hotel is lovely! Far greater than other hotels in this price point. The common areas were gracious and lovely. The decor was that of a 5 star hotel. The room was graciously sized and the towels smelled divine. A spa like experience!

The food in the Dinning Room left a bit to be desired. It's about one notch up from bar fare. We had three meals in the Dinning Room over two days and noted the wait staffing was slim thus the servers were not every attentive. Even the bar staff stressed.

Beautiful facility. Very convenient to the college.

Wish there was a breakfast option.

The location was great, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the building interior was lovely. The room was beautiful, and it was very quiet and peaceful. Loved being on the golf course and watching the daily groom first thing every morning! It was great having bottled water in the room too.

The bathroom door slammed into the wall by the toilet; a doorstop of some sort would be helpful. The grits at breakfast weren't good (and we generally love grits). The rest of breakfast was fine.

Very nice stay at the Sewanee Inn over Thanksgiving week. The Town/Campus/Inn was very quiet due to Holiday. The view was great overlooking the Golf Course. The dinners and drinks were very good. Our daughter enjoyed her campus Visit, which was just down the street from the Inn. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Fireplace was the perfect spot for a hot cocoa.

Better lighting in restrooms. Too dim.

Wonderful getaway with my sister. I have Celiac Disease. We had a couple of cocktails and decided to eat in the bar our first night. Bartender was kind to check with the kitchen for something gluten free that I could eat. It was delicious and satisfying salad with steak. Both bartenders graciously googled ingredients in the specialty cocktails to guarantee gluten free. The room was comfortable. The setting was serene plus! Walking trails through the woods just steps from the parking lot. The walk into town for a little shopping was gentle and scenic. All the staff were friendly and even the other guests were a delight.

Keurig in the room as well as coffee offered in the lobby was, well, appalling to us lovers of strong dark roast. Next time I will bring my own coffee and a small mellita pot. Can't even nitpick about anything else.

We loved everything about our accommodations!

The restaurant was not a positive experience. It took a very long time to get our food and my allergy info was not told to the kitchen, so my food contained ingredients I was allergic to but I fortunately saw it! My husbands food was room temp. I was disappointed in the value of my dinner. I paid $42 for scallops and had 3. Everything tasted great in spite of everything else.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Excellent service. Perfect for Summer Music Festival. Wonderful restaurant.

Can’t think of anything we did not like.
