- Roomy, comfy, good view, balcony
Cons -
- We had immediate issues with our door’s lock which was never fixed all weekend so we shared an emergency key fob. There were ladybugs everywhere stuck in vent fans and around the rooms. One of the pillows was stained pretty badly.
- Not far from town is good but road is steep and narrow and very sharp turns

The place was very nice, clean, and in excellent condition. Pool was great, as was the hot tub and sauna. The staff were excellent. They gave excellent customer service. 5 stars ++ to the staff.
Loved the fact that we were close to everything. We were a family of 6 and we all had plenty of space, the rooms were comfortable and spacious, loved the hot tub in the master bedroom, the fireplace in the living room was cozy and the mountains view from our balcony were amazing. The family also got to enjoy the recreation room before we left. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely visit again.
There was nothing that we didn’t like.
The location is very close to down town Gatlinburg. It was nice to head back for a break and return to sight see, shop or eat. We even got a chance to see a momma bear and her cub on the last day at the resort.
This was our second time at this location. The building we stayed in this time was much older, smaller and beds were VERY uncomfortable! We both woke up very stiff and sore every day. The unit had a very humid feeling and NO internet was available. Last issue was someone smoking weed behind the building. Each day we had horrible residue smell in our unit. Last day, we tried to enjoy the balcony but someone was out there smoking weed, again. It was so bad we had to shut the door and stay inside. We were close to the laundry area so, I am not sure if it was another guest or staff since they were behind the building. I tried to reach out to the front desk but I never was able to connect with anyone. This makes me so sad since I enjoy the location but I want to be comfortable on vacation. I am not sure if I would stay here again. I would need improvements before I do.
Was very roomy. Nice, clean, comfy. Absolutely loved master bathroom.
The only thing that I didn’t like was the location.

I like that they have an indoor swimming pool and the staff was very nice
I hate that you have to call capital to book a room because they tell you that they don’t have anything then i get on booking.com and they have one on booking.com. We get there and I see all kinds of rooms empty. That’s how it was last year. This year it was the same thing told they didn’t have anything . So I got on booking.com and got a room through Laurel point . Our friends always come down there the same week we do and they told me that they had rooms available, but I couldn’t get there that same week Because I was told there wasn’t anything available .
The pictures on the website matched what we got in our room. I’ve added photos of the plates, pans, and some utensils so you know what to expect. There was also a coffee maker, can opener, toaster, blender, and some baking pans that weren’t pictured. We brought our own pans because they didn’t specify, and I’m glad we did—the one at the property was pretty scratched up.Make sure to pack or buy essentials like extra paper towels, TP, trash bags, and soaps, as they only provide a small amount. And they do not replenish those items. The beds were comfortable, though stained. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and stained. The living room was big enough for a twin/queen-size blow-up mattress. I’d recommend bringing one to make it more comfortable and still have the couch for sitting. You can get fresh towels daily from 9-11 am, and the staff is very nice. We stayed in Unit B, which didn’t have a view. There are two washers and dryers in Unit C for everyone to use, which is a short walk from our building. It’s free to wash clothes, and there’s a machine for soap, but it can get busy. The laundry room is open 24 hours, which is helpful. The game room has a pool table, darts, a ping pong table, and a small area for kids. We didn’t use it because we had other activities planned. We also didn’t use the pool, but it’s smaller than it looks online. The drive up was scenic, and the staff was friendly and answered all our questions. If we could choose our unit, we might stay again, but since that’s not guaranteed, we probably won’t.
We loved it! It was close enough to Gatlinburg where you could get there in 2-3 minutes but also far enough away from the crowd. We will absolutely stay here next time we go to Gatlinburg! I do have one small suggestion though..when we checked in after driving for 7 hours and it was 630pm. We were all ready to get to the room. The very sweet lady checking us in was trying to sell timeshares and other things to people checking in. It just wasn’t the time. There were two people in front of us so the check in took probably 25 minutes. Again she was a beautiful lady with great energy but we just wanted to unpack and start our vacation :)
Location is great. We usually love staying at Laurel Point. However, we were in a different building than usual and things were not the same as we are used to.
The dishwasher would not close or turn on. We spent entirely too much time and effort trying to make it work. The twin beds were horrible. They made so much noise and were so hard! My 6 year old said it smelled like vomit when she got into her bed. The bedrooms were so drafty.. it was freezing at night in both bedrooms and we could never get them warmed up and did not have enough blankets to keep warm.
The staff. The staff is fantastic and so helpful.
Dated and we went with our three kids and both the game room and playground were out of order. In my opinion, capital vacations grossly overcharged me and did not deliver on the room and amenities in their ad.
The condos were clean, spacious and attractive. We felt at home there. The kitchen was equipped with all the pots, pans, and tableware to cook your own meal. Our unit also had its own washer and drier which was very convenient. We would definitely stay again if we visited the area again.
Our young adult kids would have preferred and outdoor pool, but there was an indoor pool with lounge chairs both inside and outside.

I like having the pool area there an everybody was nice and I like the grills s you can cook out. And we got to see the Bears.
We were in building B and usually building A And building B is for Saturdays and building C is for Fridays and we came in on Friday thinking we were going to be in building C and we were put in building B . We had friends in build C and if we wanted to all hang out we had to walk across to each other’s building . Capital vacations was telling people they didn’t have anything available until the last minute our friends down there wasn’t happy either because they told them the same thing . And there was a few open in building C The whole week we were there .
The location was very close to where we wanted to go and very quiet .The staff were extremely friendly especially a lady named Bobbie that works in the office.
Everything was excellent
