    Pros +

    • The evening staff was really great. The morning staff at the desk was terrible. The cleaning staff were very nice.
    • Friendliness of staff
    • Location for Custer state park, Crazy horse and Mt Rushmore. Also the walkability for dinner

    Cons -

    • The smell of chemicals and dirty carpet was overwhelming. They gave us a coupon for a local restaurant due to "remodeling ". We waited for a table for a long time & the coupon was only for biscuits and gray, or French toast. Had to pay for coffee. Pricey!
    • The morning office staff woman didn?t understand English very well and was not helpful at all. It took getting upset with her to call her manager for assistance. Not a good choice for front counter staff!
    • No elevators so had to carry heavy luggage up concrete stairs, had broken toilet seat in room.

    Location to Mt Rushmore

Old and had a funny smell. However, it was very clean.

The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. The room was decently sized. The bed was comfortable. The location was nice. Everything that we were interested in was pretty much within walking distance.

They didn't offer any kind of breakfast, but had a new coffee machine with different options. We had a frig in the room, but microwave was in the lobby and it closes at 10pm. There was no cable TV, and only a few channels available.

It was located near me options for dining and shopping.

If the parking lot was full you would have to park off the property.

The location of the hotel was excellent. the staff was very friendly and helpful as suggesting things to do and places to dine. It¿s a quaint little hotel but it was clean and served the purpose

My wife was very upset that there was no hairdryer in the room. It seems that like every hotel room the drains could use a little Roto Rotor work

Very clean & the location. The area reminded me of the Jersshorw boardwalk with stores, ice cream shops & restaurants. Very quaint.

The shower head was too low. Made for some one who was 5 ft. And there was no refrigerator which was disappointing but was OK since we only stayed overnight. Everything else was good.

Betty was accommodating, friendly, professional and made our stay one of the best ever.

A hotel is defined by the people that operate it and this hotel has the best.

Terrific Location, very good value, adequate room and nice people - just not enough of them!

Check in delayed as shortage of maids had everyone cleaning rooms. Typical experience for these trying times. Rooms were very clean though!

    location to main street

wanted 1st floor. arrived too late, but better than 3rd floor, no elevator

    9Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 6-30-2021

The location to restaurants, shops, entertainment was perfect.

The access to the hotel was a little difficult, especially with a larger vehicle. Parking was also limited.

    7JohnPosted on: 6-18-2021

    location and very friendly staff.

this hotel is in need of an upgrade in decor. It needs more cabinets for storage and at least one more chair with better lighting for reading.
