Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Clear Lake

• Not much this time
• friendly manager. refunded pet fee 4 room conditions that were unacceptable! Corporote would never allow their family 2 stay in such a nasty place. They need to see. pet friendly. attractive lobby and exterior. nice pool area. Health inspection needed!
• The proximity to the wedding we attended was what kept us there. As only hotel in town, was fully booked with family and friends. Hallways looked to be recently painted. Main areas, while dated, seemed to be clean. Rooms- dated, but seemed to be cleaned.

Cons -

• Who ever was in charge was never there. Her kids were at the desk and if you needed anything you had to talk to her on there phone. Second time there and we won't be back
• rm 1: toilet didnt flush. bloody kotex in trash. rm 2: toilet seat loose. sink badly stained. towel rack falling off wall. breakfast was very subpar. wont ever stay again or recommend. Many repairs are needed at the Clear Lake, SD motel.
• Unfriendly staff; 'free breakfast' was granola bars; no hair dryers in the room; stained linoleum in the bathroom; stained box spring was not hidden by a dust ruffle. I wouldn't chose to stay here again.
