Quality Inn West Columbia - Cayce

This was the worst experience. Don’t recommend and will never return to a Quality Inn for the rest of my life.

The hotel really needs to be updated. In many places, the paint was worn away and required new paint. The elevator is an outside elevator, and the concrete area near the elevator was dirty and stained. The ice maker was leaking, leaving a puddle in the area near the elevator. The floor of the elevator was vinyl planking, and a 6” long part of the flooring had been torn ou and not repaired. The outside stairs were bare concrete, with obvious cracks. The railings needed paint. The toilet in my room rocked. I poured a glass of water from the faucet and it foamed. This may have been from an aerator fitting on the faucet, but I didn’t feel comfortable drinking the water, so I went down two floors to my car and got a bottle of water. When I returned to my room, the water still had a head on it. I don’t know whether this rundown hotal was just acquired by some small business owner that hasn’t had the time or cash flow to update the place, so I reallly hate to leave such a negative review, but I think people should be aware that this place doesn’t deserve the 6.5 rating that shows on booking.com, and they should know what they’re getting when they book this place online without a chance to see the place first.
