Hilton Royale Palms

The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Do not stay at the Royal Palms. This place is extremely outdated and for the price paid, we should have better. We were given a room that looked like it was stuck in the 1960's. NEVER AGAIN!!

No one came to provide any cleaning services yet there was a card with a QR code to tip. I found that very distasteful to ask for a tip and not provide any service.

Location, proximity to the beach, amenities

The ice maker downstairs was broken, so we had to go over to the adjoining hotel to get ice. Housekeeping staff should do routine checks in sink cabinets to make sure there are no water leaks.

Location was excellent; room was great; property was well maintained; overall, would return due to a very good experience. Parking deck charge was reasonable at approx. $14 per night with unlimited in and out privileges. Heat/AC unit was effective, quiet

Mattress should be upgraded, flat screen Emerson TV was small-- i think probably 35 inches, but it would be nice if it was 55 inches and even better if it was 65 inches.

Indoor Pool was not located in the hotel and the hot tubs were not working

The room and during the check-in process with over in the Hilton was a great customer service experience very knowledgeable and told us about some great places to go for food. The room was great best resort for a first timer to Myrtle Beach.

The only issue is I wanted a front ocean view instead of a side ocean view but overall no compliant.

Amenities

Didn¿t feel like a 4 start room needs some updating and felt very musty in the room. The air conditioner was very loud and sounded like it is due for repair.

Room was cumbersome and not very comfortable. Bed had sand in it. I will not be staying here again if I can avoid it.

The Hotel was nice, however a few things were not as expected. The washer did not work, the air conditioner went out on the last day of my stay. The battery in the temp controller was low causing the air not to cool. One of the lights in the bathroom

I was told it¿s ocean facing but have to Go Out of the room in balcony to see the ocean so frustrating and no carts available neither staff to get luggage to room does not deserve to be 4 star

Location was excellent, nice bar and access to pools and beach and view from balcony was nice

No bell hops or enough carts available to take suitcases to room (had to wait over an hour for a cart or carry it ourselves. That was checking in and out. you had to schedule room cleaning or your room did not get cleaned

The staff! Excellent service from check in to check out. The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful.

The bathrooms. They are small especially the shower. If the door to the bathroom wasn't so big it probably wouldn't feel claustrophobic. Pocket doors would make a big difference.

Nothing specific with the hotel but I had a ocean view room and the view was minimal to none of the ocean. I had to sit at a hard angle and peek over my balcony to have a decent view. Not what I wanted for my wife¿s birthday trip.

its time for the furniture to be remodel also carpet needs cleaning its time to refurbish the place.

The staff, the guest and the location was beautiful and nice.

I didn’t like that the help kept walking in without letting us know they were coming in. My daughter was in the room and the maintenance man just walked in. That was bad and it scared my daughter to wake up and hear a strange person leaving the room.

Great view and large suite. Also, right in water with a lot of activities for both children and adults.

Elevators were slow all week, hotel on the expensive side and it was very hard to get ahold of the front desk.
