The Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry By Hilton

Location was great and pier access was nice and convenient. Property was recently renovated so the rooms were hard surface flooring and modern style. Bathroom was clean and bed was very comfortable. Rooms include pier access as well as free rental fishing poles (4 per room) and free putt putt at a very small and old looking property across the street. A couple indoor pool options on the property and the outdoor water slides and pools looked like they would be awesome during Summer season warm weather.

The Ellie is a large U-shaped building with 6 floors of rooms and the only amenity is an ice machine every other floor and a workout room on floor 1. There is no lobby or check-in office within this building. There is no coffee or snack area. For a beer or a snack you have to take an elevator to the ground, walk outside about 150 yards, walk up a floor or up an elevator a floor to a lobby in the "registration building". After I booked and fully pre-paid for the room, when I arrived, I was asked for my credit card to cover $56 for 1 night for "parking and resort fees". That was a criminal act.

One of the elevators was broken so it took awhile to catch the elevator but easy to take the stairs. Our bathroom toilet was dirty.

Awful stay. The hotel is like a mini club with music playing so loud that the windows in my room were vibrating. Even after call reception the music was not turned down and played til after 9.

The location was perfect. The hotel was amazing. It was definitely family friendly. The Easter bunny made a pop up visit during breakfast which was so sweet. My daughter was obsessed.

Directions weren’t clear as far as where registration was but once we found it everything was great.

The location was good and the hotel overall was very nice. I have no specific complaints. It was not the best place we've ever visited but it was nice and fairly close to everything. Staff was friendly and the room was very clean and located directly above the main pool area. The price was a bit high for what you get. I would have expected more luxury for the price. We traveled for a couples vacation and this place is definitely more kid friendly overall. They do offer an adults only pool area.
