Red Roof Inn Columbia East - Ft Jackson

We were only given 2 towels & 2 face cloths for 4 adults, the tub didn't drain during the shower, roaches, & the toilet backed up. When we told the staff & nothing was done about it, we checked out. I was told that my refund would be on my card. It's not

I liked that it was right off of Interstate 20. I was traveling and the hotel was convenient.

So as soon as I entered the lobby. The lobby smelled of marijuana. Also the woman that was working the front desk was drinking alcohol. And was clearly inebriated. I was also solicited for money anytime I left my room. By people just roaming around.

I needed a place to stay and I had to bed

Hotel bathroom was disgusting, the staff was overfilled behind the desk while they were eating and drinking beer.

A Couple Next Door To Me Was Scaring Me The Way They Spoke To Each Other

The location was not good. The rooms were old and had lots of damage. The outside of hotel had not been maintained

It was well lit with plenty of cameras.

The rooms were in bad condition. Sheetrock was badly patched. Bathroom was dirty. Motel was located at a dead end street that felt creepy. Mattresses outside the dumpsters in plain view. Bullet proof glass at the check-in desk.

Nothing positive, corporate needs to get out there ceiling paint was falling down the door lock in The room does not work Neither does the flip latch remote control does not work.

People leave their garbage outside on the grass, including 10 inch round level gas grills garbage all along the trees

There were stains on the bedspread, the basin on the tub was stained and paint was peeling, there were holes in the wall and the tiles were coming up from the floor in the bathroom. Also, the room REEKED of smoke. I am not a smoker. It also had flies.

The location

Apparently multiple families live on-site. There were unhoused people on the property. Lots of big dogs and children were everywhere. The pictures does not represent this property at all.

Staff was friendly, helpful and the overall experience was pleasant.

this was a non-smoking facility, I'm a smoker and would have rather had a smoking room other than having to smoke outside.

They didn't charge me a $25 fee to check out at 12:30 instead of 11:00.

It was 20° outside and it was 20° in the room. The heaters are these panels that are attached up to the top of the ceiling. At no point in time did the room ever properly heat up.

Didn¿t like anything about the hotel

I booked a superior room and was given a standard room with no refund

The mattress was very uncomfortable as the box spring may be broken. There were abandoned cars in the parking lot. Our bathroom door would not close. The hotel needs a lot of work.

Staff was friendly!

First room AC was not working, had to switch us to a new room. Our rooms smelled like smoke and there was a gritty/sandy feeling on the beds. The locals or people staying in the hotel made our family feel unsafe. The room did not reflect the pictures.

Best room so far that I¿ve stayed in as far as the layout. Cover got burn holes in them and stains in the tubs and sinks

For it to be run down there shouldn¿t be a deposit that isn¿t explained on the website. I¿ve booked here before and have to pay a deposit all of a sudden there is one.

The room cleaniness

Alot of trash around the trash can. Dog poop on the ground. Dog poop trash can not cleaned at grassy area for dogs to go
