Pros +
- Hospitality was great and setting/site beautiful. Loved the court room and wine welcoming was a nice touch. - Hotel employee was very friendly as well!
- The location downtown was great and the bed was pretty comfortable.
- There was a complementary snack basket, which was such a nice surprise!
Cons -
- internet spotting in room. Had to work in lobby to stay connected.
- WAY too expensive for the room you get, not private balcony or even outside sitting area for that matter, also could put solid door on bathroom. Update breakfast selection, website says wine & cheese (happened some of the nights), cookies & milk - never
- There were two mirrors facing each other across the room--many people have what may be called superstitions about the fact that this should not be done. I just covered one up. I personally found the netting/canopy over the bed unattractive.

Location. Modernized bathroom. The bath was spacious and plenty of linens were available. The high bed had a stool. Friendly and helpful staff.
The TV was not working. Not able to fix it due to Comcast lack of follow through. Promised a discount but to date not received. The fan was inadequate. It took a long time to remove the moisture so I could do my hair.
The staff and the location. Mainly the staff.
Just needed to be spiced up a little.. landscape, etc.. The bathtub also had mildew and needs to be recaulked.
Location to restaurants and shopping.
Bathroom needed some upgrades. It was very clean but vanity very old with cracking paint. Shower also very clean but needed retiled and caulked.
Location and garden area
No hot water on last day of stay dirty tub on arrival
I loved the location of the hotel and the proximity to shops, dining, entertainment, etc.
The AC was not working and we spent two nights sweating it out with 2 kids as well.
Of course the location of this place is ideal! The rooms are quaint with lots of charm. But what sets this place apart from other places I've stayed is the staff  amd the rest of the crew were amazing!
The bath tub could use an update.
The location was perfect. Close to great shopping on Kings street, close to the College of Charleston. The staff was helpful and kind. The outdoor courtyard was quaint and gave you that authentic Southern feel. Happy hour With free wine... BONUS!
The bathrooms are in need of serious updating. They are way beyond bandaids. Also, in need of tech updates. Current Alarm clock had a CD player! Lol.. maybe one with USB port to charge phone at bed so we don¿t have to crawl under bed to plug in.
The staff (everyone) was super friendly & helpful! In historic district and walking distance to many nice restaurants and visitor sites. Across the street from the Marketplace!
Parking was a couple of blocks away & $20 a night!
Great location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms set in classic style.
Saw a couple of roaches in the bathroom. Parking is off site about 1/2 mile away, and it costs an additional $20 per day to use the lot.
quaint and charming
When first greeted- the onsite staff who checked us in was rude- controlling what we could do regarding our bags and parking...it was an odd experience
Outdoor garden, canopy beds, comp. eve. Cocktail and cheese, breakfast. On ground level with disabled spouse also free shuttle to rest. For dinner.
Sorry to say , toilet kept running continually and lightbulbs out over sink except 1.!!
Location
Parking is further than a block and add $10 for valet after a $16 fee for parking,
Loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff and the location
No. I m making a comment here only because there is no other place for comments. You might want to get my name and residence correct. I m not William from Norwalk, CT. I m William from RICHMOND,VA
Great location. I like that the rooms and feel of the hotel was "southern". A fun and different experience. I also like that they offered breakfast everyday.
It was a motel style hotel and we could hear people walking by and talking- not very quiet.
Nice staff. Rooms were clean but worn. Ceiling needs some work. I expected this so not alarmed. Really liked the convenience to other locations within Charleston. Everywhere is walkable.
See above.. Rooms need refresh.
location- best breakfast ever yum.
Coffee maker and microwave would have been nice.
The staff, cleanliness, quaintness, location, atmosphere of common areas, breakfast, comfort of bed and social hour.
It was quite run down. Peeling ceilings and wall paper, bathroom in general was very battered (needed a bleaching and several repairs near fan and vanity. A little TLC would go a long way. It seemed clean, just run down.
