Montage Palmetto Bluff

Pros +

• The facility/grounds were gorgeous. Our room overlooking the lagoon was very nice, with an extremely comfortable bed with beautiful linens and a soaking tub in the bathroom. The use of bikes and bike trails were wonderful (staff easily replaced my bike when it was taken by someone else!) "Porching" and smores were nice treats. The pools were clean and inviting. The nature walk with Cassie was excellent and the Cadillac program was a great plus. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout the resort. Outside Palmetto Bluffs, though not a Montage operated business, was a fantastic addition to the resort.
• Everything. Exceptional property. Exceeded all our expectations and we were expecting it to be great! Across the board location, accommodation & service were top notch. Just wish we had stayed longer!

Cons -

• While the service was generally good, it didn't quite measure up to our expectations of a 5 start resort. We were asked at the concierge and when making dinner reservations why we were at the resort and we told them we were celebrating our 30 year wedding anniversary (the concierge even wrote it down!) but there was no acknowledgement of this during our stay. Our check-in was not very smooth-we were told to get in the golf cart with our luggage to go to our room, but no one had the key. Once at our room, our luggage didn't arrive for another 20 minutes. While waiting for the concierge to open on Wed am, there were ten of us waiting and the concierge apparently had car trouble but I had to call the front desk on my phone at 9:15 for someone to come over and tell us. We had invited friends to join us for smores on Wed evening, but no one was there. The service that we received was wonderful, but the service level fell a bit short for us.
