Located in the Midtown Village area of downtown Philadelphia, this boutique hotel is one block from the performing arts district Avenue of the Arts. The rooms at The Arco are furnished with natural wood flooring, a coffee maker, and a private bathroom. They are equipped with a flat-screen TV with Chromecast and free Wi-Fi. Independence Hall is only a 15-minute walk away from Sonder l The Arco. The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is just a block from the property.

The location was excellent. The room was lovely. When I got the booking, I was very pleased with the price I would pay per night to be in a hotel downtown.
Great location. Nice comfortable bed.
The concept is kind of cool with getting rid of the front desk altogether and doing everything through your phone. ItÂ¿s great that the hotel is centrally located in Midtown, so itÂ¿s easy to walk to the convention center area, Chinatown, Rittenhouse, etc.

Cons -

Lots to say: required computerized check-in doesn't work (it read my ID photo as a license, and refused to check me in). NOBODY told me before arrival the elevator was broken. I had to walk up 5 flights w/a heavy suitcase (I'm 63). No cleaning staff ...

Having a code to type in to get in is a little outdated. A lot have it so you can just scan your phone now. Also, the TV kept switching off, but service didnÂ¿t really sound like there would be anyone around to even look at it.

Location was perfect for us and the staff was great. Very helpful with all things and always with a smile. Hotel employee was the main person at the desk and he did a great job for us.

The only thing that was troubling was the sound of the ventilation system...it was throughout the hotel. We come from the countryside so for us it took a bit to get used to it. However, the ear plugs we were given gratis worked perfect.
