Settlers Inn

It felt like a true Bed and Breakfast. Great ambience in the lobby. Nice bar and restaurant on site. Included breakfast each day was a nice touch. Bathroom and shower were clean and updated. Staff was helpful for recommendations in the area (shuttle)

Website pictures of the room itself were pretty misleading. Our room was TINY. Not even enough room for our suitcase really since there was no other places to put clothing during the stay.

We kept getting static shock. probably from carpet and Iron bed.

I have been going here for 9 years, and it never disappoints, Its like a Hallmark movie so cute and quiet to get away fromthe hustle and Bussell of the world

Some of the rooms need updating they are getting tired rugs are stained and bathrooms need refresh

Kevin was fantastic!! He anticipated all of our needs and accommodated our requests. We look forward to our return. We also loved that it was pet friendly. It is difficult to find nice accommodations for pet owners. This property exceeded our expectations.

The staff were lovely.

The place is really tired. The carpets were worn, the hallways were frigid. The carpeted floors in our room were ice cold. The room and decor looked like they didn’t even try to update it or make it look welcoming. To charge over $225 a night for a room that looked like a bad in room from the 60’s? It was clean, but it was so drab and plain with really bad art. It didn’t feel like it was welcoming us into a vacation.

We have been to Settlers many times during the years .. we love the atmosphere of the hotel… but now read below ….

Unfortunately Settlers has been going downhill. - the food used to be excellent and we always looked forward to having a special dinner there - and unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated- dinner was not great as it used to be - they also had a fixed price which was ridiculously high for low quality food and everything was basically Cajun style - not letting us know before -and breakfast was nothing special -- yes- we chose a room for the less expensive rate but we would expect the mattress not to be basically sinking. This was unacceptable! The room was fine - the mattress needs to be replaced We are not happy with the experience this time . It used to be a favorite place for us to go to.

Clean comfortable and great service. Food was excellent rooms were clean great location.

The inn is beautiful and I enjoyed breakfast. It was fun playing scrabble by the fire with a drink!

The first room we were given didn't have heat. When we notified the front desk later in the evening, they provided us with a space heater. It wasn't until the following morning when we again spoke with the front desk that we were provided with a different room that thankfully this time was heated.

The atmosphere was nostalgic and the facility was clean Everyone was extremely nice

The look of the Inn, location, friendly staff, the fresh food, hot breakfast each morning, the bar with wine tasting & the amazing cheese cake. Also the fireplace was magnificent.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Settlers Inn. The room was very spacious. Staff was very friendly. The breakfasts were delicious!

There was no land line in the room. And no clock in the room.

This was the third time we have stayed at Old Settlers Inn. There is so much to like here. The food is excellent, sourced from a local farm. Antiques are charming. The staff are all extremely helpful and kind.

I have reviewed the beds here before. The mattress is on a wooden frame which sticks out past the edge of the mattress. My husband and I have both not seen the frame in the dark and hit our calves on it. His drew blood. Fortunatly it was not much but it hurt alot. We don't understand why they don't make the frame disappear under the mattress. I end up putting pillows and furniture near the end of the bed as a reminder.

The place is so relaxing. The garden is so pretty. And the food is so dang good.

Laid back old school atmosphere.

The bathroom door really squeaked when you open and closed it. It's not a deal breaker and an easy fix.

Carrie at the desk was very helpful. We asked lots of questions....questions she no doubt answers numerous times a day...and she was patient. We loved eating on the porch and the attention paid to us by our waitress. The gardens and creative and welcoming.

The frame of the bed stuck out to the point where I impaled my leg on it. The mattress is much smaller and the wood frame pieces are not protected. They are very dangerous, especially navigating them in the dark of night. Also the lack of an elevator was a potential problem for me. I did not see in the description of the hotel that it is impossible for anyone with mobility problems. One has to be able to climb stairs.

Beautiful gardens and outdoor areas. The staff were extremely attentive and provided excellent service. The access to activities across all the sister properties
