Homewood Suites by Hilton Du Bois

The staff was very nice and the breakfast provided was great.

There were renovations occurring. Oir room was a very nice suite however the carpet was exceptionally stained. The air condition in the room was not adjustable as the controls were not functioning.

Room size

Garage cans full entering hotel, trash between doors. Large quantity of trash bags, pizza boxes, and shopping bags by elevator doors. Smelled up hallway. Stash at check in not friendly Your listing stated they had a pool and there was no working pool.

Clean

Pool was drained and closed. No change in price for not having the amenities. The other hotels have their pools up and running. Can¿t keep using Covid as an excuse!

Staff was very friendly and efficient. Common areas are open, light, clean and inviting.

Room was clean and roomy.

Pool and hot tub were closed. No where to park every night. Front staff was rude and didn't even make eye contact when she finally acknowledged me.

It was convenient to interstate, restaurants, and shopping

I was frustrated that the indoor pool was not open. My children were looking forward to swimming and the pool was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. The breakfast was not very good. There were very limited choices. They were understaffed as Well.

Overall a very nice place to stay, very clean.

The only real complaint I had was looking out the rooms window.. all we saw was the roof of the connected building which looked like a catch basin for storm water.

The rooms were clean, the bed was large and comfy, the room was spacious and had all the appliances I could've needed.

I wish all of the staff would've worn masks and that there would've been more signage asking guests to also wear masks.

Some people who expect absolutely perfect finishes may find a few nicks and dents in cabinetry, etc. I found everything perfectly fine for me.

Location & price

CLothing from a previous guest was discovered behind the bathroom door. Utensils were minimal. There was no channel guide for the TV or information on local restaurants.

The room was appropriate for someone with limited mobility. It was a very large room. The price was very low for the wonderful room we had.

Everything was clean and in great shape! Loved the shower and our bed was so comfy! Hotel employee was so kind and explained everything we would need to know, we felt completely at ease and taken care of.

I like the room decor and set-up.

I wish they still had the breakfast buffet. The current breakfast offerings are paltry.

Price and amount of space is excellent for my infant daughter, wife, and myself.

The TV remote didn't work (twice - after asking for new batteries and receiving a new remote). The shower door was somewhat off the track, making it hard to open and close.

Clean, comfortable, convenient room. I'd chosen this room for the kitchenette, since I won't eat out during the pandemic. The kitchenette was adequate, if cheaply furnished. The evening desk attendant was helpful and thoughtful.

The evening desk attendant should wear a mask, since he deals with strangers all day long. In the morning a power outage locked several people out of rooms. The morning desk attendants threw up their hands. Surely something could have been done to help.

Hot water

Everything! The hotel was dirty. The elevators did not work. Staff was very unfriendly. Door key cards didn’t work. I stayed 3 nights and never received fresh towels. . I didn’t stay the last night, I actually think I deserve some type of refund!

Dirty dish found in sink when we checked in. Room was spotless otherwise. Manager quickly changed our room and was very apologetic.

Quiet location, clean, kitchen stocked suite.
