Cons -
- This B&B is not for everyone. It’s old and semi renovated. I found it charming, despite flys in my room . Wished I had been a couple . Very romantic. The portable AC unit was a little disappointing. Loved the serenity and the staff were over the top..
- Drains were slow - almost clogged in shower and sink; there?s a kitchenette but no table; wifi did not work
- Booked over 4weeks prior and was called after first week and told that I would be in one of the three cabins as pets were not allowed in the lodge. I was ok with that after looking at pictures and the amenities of the cabin and confirmed the reservation changes. When we got there we were told that our cabin was overbooked and the other cabins were filled. We were put over in the pine lodge which apparently they had a policy change and allowed pets. Would have been ok except no microwave or fridge in room and no seating available in restaurant. At least we had fruit and cookies that we brought with us and kept our water and sodas on ice as there was a ice machine in lobby. There was a fridge in the common area but I didn't see myself putting my drinks in it and finding out half were missing the next morning.

The Pine Lodge was lovely with lots of sunlight both in our room and the common area. We ate a booth in the bar, and the bartender was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.
Only two rooms in the Lodge appeared occupied. The only other guests were placed in the room right above ours. There was no insulation between floors, so we could hear everything from 6am on. They were very noisy guests (lots of walking at 6am), and we could hear everything the night before and that morning. It would have been nice to have been more spaced out with so few occupants.
The property itself is lovely, it just rained and we couldn’t enjoy it.
The restaurant closed and the whole reason we booked the stay was to go to the restaurant for dinner and the stay on the property. The room was much smaller than expected and the cleanliness was lacking.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We had such a wonderful experience thanks to the incredible hotel manager, Justin E, who went above and beyond to make our stay and my birthday celebration truly special. From the moment we arrived, they were kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. The manager was so kind, accommodating, and thoughtful which made our stay unforgettable and made us feel so valued as guests. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in ensuring every detail is perfect — Justin’s hospitality set the tone for a stay we’ll always remember. Highly recommend this resort, not only for its comfort and quality but for the exceptional manager and people who make it shine!Modernized rooms and home but with the charm from 1800sNearby activitiesFly fishing!
We stayed in the historic cottage which was fully equipped, luxurious, modernized kitchen, with an awesome front porch we enjoyed our cofee in the morning and relaxed at the end of the day. The porch was overlooking the lawn, trees and creek. We tried and fully enjoyed fly fishing at the creek for the first time and it’s was excellent experience.Thank you Justin! We appreciate everything you did for us!
Well manicured property. Upscale accommodations! Barn restaurant on the property!
Limited breakfast options and high cost for a small cup of coffee!
Everything was very nice, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was a bit old fashioned but also very clean and charming. There were a few cracks on the ceiling and walls but they were minimal and a non factor.
Maybe a bit more appetizers on the menu. But the food we did order was great. We sat outside on the lower floor and the poor waiter had to go up and down the stairs to order our food and bring it to our table. It did take quite a while but the staff did inform us before seating us that this was the case.
The people at the front desk at check-in were nice and welcoming. Our room was ready a little bit early. The room was clean. The gym was locked in the morning, but we called the number and someone came right over to open it for us.
In general the place was much more run down than the last time we stayed there. The restaurant on the resort is closed for dinner on Sunday, the bartender didn't even know this. There is not another decent option for dinner close by. The room itself had a broken shower head and it was hard to take a shower. The body-wash hanging in the shower was also broken and inaccessible.
Restaurant and Bar staff were amazing. We went to lunch at the cafe. After waiting 1hr and still not food Cole stepped up and assisted the staff. He changed our experience and we left happy
We stayed in the Stone Lodge - sheets the first night were rough and bally. The ice machine functioned but took way too long to produce ice. Never got enough. The receptionist staff on were not the best. Pleasant but not able to think outside the box or find solutions.
Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful, plenty of space to walk and enjoy the sunrise and early morning.
Our room was loud, with a neighbor below us banging on the floor or ceiling 3 different times when we were in our room. 2 of those times while we were asleep. The walls seemed paper-thin. We have liked each of our other rooms, this one was fine, other than hearing our very loud neighbor.

Location, quiet, soothing, calming atmosphere, country setting, impressive buildings, nice creek/river for enjoyment, nice restaurant & hospitable staff.
No clothes hangers in the room & very little closet & storage space. No shelves in the bathroom for toiletries.

Location is gorgeous, beautiful amenities & good restaurant
Our room was not finished from renovation. No window covering on window, broken refrigerator door, mildew on shower walls/grout , & shower liner, no fire escape plan or inspection paperwork posted.
The areathe Bed
Bathroom was poor, shoddy workmanship in recent renovations. Tub was peeling, no shelf for toiletries by sink.Floor is only acceptable. No Chairs yet a footstool was provided. Full kitchen, yet no chair to eat from. Staff could not provide a chair when requested.wall switch controlled entire outlet so we could plug anything into the open outletNo hangers for clothes in closet.exit to back parking lot was full of debris yet not barricaded off, very unsafe. No ice in our building!!!! Staff could not provide an ice bucket for our room. they used a take out container. This building was not ready for quests. The resort was renting rooms in an unfinished building at resort prices.
You showed a really nice room in a older stone farm house and I was placed in a separate structure
This was a bate & switch!
We stayed at AR twice over 7 days, we travelled up north and tried it once going and liked it so much, we stayed there on our return trip. Great outdoor space, resturant, and the Pine Lodge was lovely.
both times the showers were not great, poor pressure, so showering was tough
Beautiful property, great having restaurants On-site and food was good!
Our shower did not, no pressure at all. AND they overcharged me by $11, I contacted the property...they should reimburse
