Schooner Landing

Our hotel stay was AWESOME. The furnishings in the hotel were very good and the beds were pretty comfy. We joke that my hubby has the nose of a bloodhound (he can pick up the slightest odors) but the room we were in even smelled clean and fresh.

The only thing that prevented a 10 rating was the carpet - it had a lot of stains in it.

I loved the location and the hominess of the room. I really loved that there were two bedrooms with quite a bit of space separating the two. (my elderly parents snore LOUDLY! It wasnt super fancy but it was clean and comfy.

The housekeepers deliberately threw out a leftover container with expensive seafood in it even though I had called minutes after departing to inform them I was on my way back to retrieve it. NO possible way, in that time, they had already cleaned.

I loved my time here, it was beautiful, private, right in front of the ocean! I saw a gorgeous sunset and a gorgeous sunrise. The Staff just outstanding, super attentive to my needs! I definitely recommend to visit.

WOW! We really did not expect such a huge place, more like a condo than a hotel. Plenty of room for sleeping, eating, relaxing, etc. Quick walk down to the beach. Had everything you would need, and very quiet. We would definitely come again.

2 paper cups of coffee left from whomever was there before. Clearly some damage to the property due to a slide or shift of some kind - this unit was far from it but a little unsettling to see. Hard to find office/need a better sign.

Great location.

Paid for 2 bedrooms, one king, one queen and fireplace. Got one bedroom with queen and loft with trundle. Planned on traveling with a child so the accommodations we got do not work for that! No privacy with a loft and can't sleep in because big windows had no window coverings. The fireplace didn't work. They said they could not change our room and didn't even offer to work with us. Very disappointed when I paid for something and it didn't even come close. It's not well lit and very hard to find in the dark!

It was conveniently located to Newport , clean and quiet.

I was disappointed that the spa and pool weren’t open. I had planned to use them. Maybe somehow you can let people know there won’t be the use of them.Oops wrong place

Very friendly front desk person. The place was very clean. Lots of windows, an airy feel to the place.

Just wish it was quick and easy to walk straight down to the beach. Beautiful views though.

I think they could’ve had a few more utensils in the kitchen and basic items for use.

They didn't give us any wifi info in the room, the TV channels didn't work at all and the pool was closed, but was supposed to be given a pass to the rec center.

1. There was NO Breakfast.2. Proximity to the beach/Ocean access was good.3. The staff did the best they could.

Unit 107:1. The booking was not transparent that the facility is actually a Time Share model.2. The booking indicated the availability of a pool however the pool was "waiting for state inspection". A Time Share customer indicated that the pool had not been operational since Covid pandemic, and therefore both the listing and the front desk explanation were FALSE and misleading.3. The shower curtain was so short that the bathroom floor was flooded with normal use.4. The "time share" model was not transparent as the booking was for a hotel room and accommodations. and therefore there was an unanticipated and inappropriate requirement to haul garbage and use a dishwasher as part of the checkout procedure with a penalty clause of additional charges if these requirements were not met.5. The facility itself was somewhat outdated and had not been kept up or updated, including normal routine painting and repairs.6. There was no instruction provided for the operation of the fireplace.7. The installation of the refrigerator-Freezer was such that the freezer door could not be fully opened and therefore using the ice maker was not possible or practical.8. Because the booking was through a third part the front desk could not provide any accounting of charges, could not produce a receipt, was not aware of which third party booking agency was used and could not provide any other information about the booking.

The facility is in a good location.

When we arrived shortly after check-in time the office was closed. Therefore we had no way to access the apartment. I called the emergency contact number posted on the door to no avail. It took us three hours for us to find a resource that had just enough information to find the apartment and tell us that we would have to find a lock box to retrieve the key card to access our our rental. Although, she did not know where the lockbox is stationed. After scouting out the grounds we did find the lockbox to get the key card. Once in the rental there were no instructions or guide for anything. Including the WiFi. The rental did not have the ocean view as advertised. There was a spa bathtub yet no sufficient plug to stop the water draining making that inoperable. Don’t bring children as the slats in the rails are a foot apart. Children could easily fall through or get stuck between the slats. The space between the slats is not to code. The pool and hot tub weren’t available during our stay. The office staff came and went as they pleased. The office hours were not adhered to every day of our 4 day stay. The only help we received was from a maintenance person who was able to get us the arrival packet that we should have been provided upon arrival. Black mold in the shower is also a concern. The TV’s only had very basic channels and no way to use our own device through the HDMI ports. The inputs on the remote would not change inputs to accommodate a change. This is just a sample of things that hindered us from giving me the opportunity to leave a positive review. I would not stay at this facility again nor would I recommend booking a stay at any price. Do not believe the information listed in the description given in the listing. I find no joy in giving this review and hope it is not redacted and is actually posted in the comments.

The view of the ocean was the best, the condo was very nice and was stocked with everything we needed.

Location, space of the rental

The mattress. I was so sore daily. My back hurt. The mattress was Not comfortable

The place was beautiful.The staff was very friendly.It was above what we expected. It was very relaxing.

Took a little bit to figure out the television. Wish that the kitchen had been a little more stocked. Aluminum foil would have been nice. Maybe some zip lock bags. Had a toddler with us.So wish that maybe we had some sort of a cleaner. The nightlight above the stove on the microwave didn't work. Maybe having summer form of nightlight in the hallway upstairs or the bathrooms would have been really nice I didn't want to turn lights on and bother other people. Sadly, the weather was absolutely horrible.But it was very cozy inside and not your fault.What last thing find me the entrance we actually drove by at the sign is not located to be seen very well.

Clean, homey, and feels safe

We had the best time! I didn't realize that it would be like a condo with a complete kitchen. The place was amazing, but even better was the view! WOW! I would love to come back, especially if I can have that exact space.

No pool. Very disappointed about that.

The pool and hot tub was not operational, even thoough the Booking website said it would be up and running after maintenance by the time we arrived.That was a deciding factor in us stayining there.
