Lakeside Motel, Cabins and RV

It was quiet

There was hair all over the walls in the shower, and what looked to be facial hair all around the sink. There was hair on the little white table by the door as well. There was a belt left on the shelf from a previous person. TV did not work

Arrived @ 11:30pm. Retrieved room key out of lockbox as instructed & we could not lock room door. Only 1 lock on the door. Went down to where office used to be & woke person up staying in that room. He rents room from Lakeside & told us there was no on-site office. He told us to call phone number on their sign, which we did call but had to leave message. We also sent a text message. We were in an unlocked room next to highway all night. Called again the next morning & left message. The lady called us back and sent person out to fix the lock. The helper told us the lock was off track. Again, no one on site and slept unsafely in an unlocked room all night! Bad experience. Have stayed there once yearly for 10 years+, but not again.

The location, I liked how our cabin looked

Did find a toe nail on our bed and the last guest drinks in the fridge, and you didn't want to walk around barefoot, but for what we were doing, it was fine

Location to where we wanted to stay was great. Room was very clean and recently updated. Loved that it's an old-style motel and you pull right up to the front door of your room. No office you can purchase your room online or scan a QR code and then given a room with a code to get your room key.

Beds were not comfortable but not bad. Road noise from highway since it was right off the road is loud. Gravel parking lot.

Was double billed but neither booking.com nor the property have credited back the over charges.

There was a bed, decent AC, and a working shower.

The refrigerator didn’t work at all, so our perishables were in dire need of chilling before our fishing trip. However, the ice machine in the parking lot didn’t take cash (which was all we had) even though the machine is equipped to… So we couldn’t fill the coolers with more ice, and the convenience store next door had already closed for the night. Thankfully, my dad showed up and I was able to use his card and give him the change. Related: his refrigerator was also garbage, so he had not cold sandwiches and Gatorade the next day. The WiFi was either not working, or didn’t reach beyond the owner’s apartment because we couldn’t connect a single time during our stay.The bathroom also had the long, black hairs of the previous occupant on the floor, and ledge of the tub. And the toilet seat wasn’t installed correctly. So any time we sat down, our legs got pinched hard between the seat and rim of the toilet.I get that this is mostly an RV and cabin lodge; but they also offer typical hotel rooms. Which to me, means they need to have the same seriousness when caring for those as the others receive. And given how much they charge for these rooms, it should at least be worth the money. Rooms are simple and clean.

Website says 24/7 booking but this is not reliable. No staff on site. Booked a room online the night of and didn't receive door code to room until next day. I did receive a refund but definitely not 24/7 booking.

Very clean and neat. Cleaning staff was really nice. The manager was very helpful and knew the answer to every question I asked. It was close to the lake where we went on a guided stripper fishing tour. Will defiantly stay again.

The room was clean and very comfortable..

The front desk at the hotel was closed. We called a number that was posted for help. It took an hour and ten minutes to get someone to check us in. We had decided to leave. After we had driven a mile down the road. Someone named Lani texted us our room number and door code. Horrible customer service!!!

Cabin should have a couple of blankets, at least one chair, and a fly swatter

SO VERY CLEAN

Coffee pot but no coffee sugar cream. No conditioner for hair. These are very minor things.

Room smelled like urine

I was expecting a cabin next to the lake .. as the name implies.

Easy to get to. Close to other family that was staying in the area
