    Pros +

    • Nothing other than perhaps location convenience
    • My car broke down in Illinois and I was already 4 hours behind in driving to Columbus, OH. The staff was very accommodating and flexible with my check-in time. I was exhausted by the time I arrived and was very grateful to have a bed to sleep in.
    • The hostel exceeded my expectations! It was clean, secure with security codes on each door. They offered a really good breakfast in the morning with options from a variety of cereals, bagels, cream cheese, and teas/coffees/juices. There's free laundry.

    Cons -

    • Yes - the listing is false advertising as the hot tub for example, shows it is meticulously maintained, but when you go to the hostel, the hot tub looks awful, barely has water in it and was very dirty.
    • I liked the hostel stay overall. The walls were thin so I could hear others phone alarms going off, bring ear plugs because people also snore, didn't get much sleep. They had bunks but all were co-ed. Not a deal breaker but would prefer female bunk room.
    • I booked a bedroom with five people. It turned out that my bed was in the attic and had I to walk through a bedroom to get to the stairs that go up to the attic. Because of the extra low ceiling, I had to bend over at the hips and then crawl up the steps.

    Clean modern bathrooms

I booked a bedroom with five people. It turned out that my bed was in the attic and had I to walk through a bedroom to get to the stairs that go up to the attic. Because of the extra low ceiling, I had to bend over at the hips and then crawl up the steps.

It was convenient and seemed safe

This isn¿t really the fault of the hostel, but the person I ended up sharing a room with seemed unfriendly and snored loudly. The rest of the people in the hostel were very pleasant.

if you need to meet some old friends at osu for a night, this is perfect. you can walk to almost anywhere, its clean, the staff is friendly, the fridge is stocked, off street parking, they got lockers you can use, all free. like college but cleaner :)

Hostel manager was very accommodating. He takes great pride in keeping the place up despite being a somewhat older but charming Victorian. The bathrooms are very clean, beds comfortable and there is an order for everything that is easy to follow.

Easy access. Clear instructions. Lots of common space.

Just my first roommate did not shut off his alarm so it kept going off every half an hour.

I like how clean it was. Pretty decent quality for a very good price.

I was freezing during the night. I guess the heating didn’t work, but there was not much to do about it since no one answered my call, even the number given as “emergency”. Personally, I find ridiculous. The hostel also doesn’t have enough parking space, however this was mentioned in a message before, that getting a spot might be tricky. The area around is also not the safest.

I was very pleased with the self-serve kitchen facilities, and basic breakfast provided. I wasn't expecting that. I also didn't realize there was a hot tub. They also had clean swim suits to borrow.I had never stayed in a Hostel before, so I thought I'd give it a try domestically before trying it internationally.

I didn't like being in a top bunk; I'm older. The first night, a smoke alarm started to chirp due to the battery. It was not handled immediately. Halloween is not the night to spend in a Hostel.

Location and price were the positives.

Assigned a disabled man (me) a top bunk. Room was cold. No in person contact with staff at all at any point of the stay. Bed was so hard I woke 6 or 7 times from hip or back pain. Breakfast was 1 box of doughnuts that were gone before I even was aware that they had been placed.

The complimentary breakfast was awesome! I loved the facilities and the piano too. The bathrooms were very clean.

There was loud singing and guitar playing until 3.00 am on Sunday night. The singers sounded drunk! The first night was otherwise calm. The AC was too cold and no way of raising the temperature.

The moodiness and water on the floor of the bath.

    8sanbornPosted on: 6-3-2025

Extremely affordable! I was in a room with three beds but no one else was in my room, because they weren't full, so I had the room to myself. It was very clean.

There are only four parking spaces (plus street parking) but it is all first come first serve. Also, it would have been nice to know beforehand that the breakfast is yogurt, bagels, cream cheese, orange juice, and milk.
