AC Hotel by Marriott Columbus Downtown

Decent location and price relative to other hotels. We had a room overlooking the interstate however it was quiet. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean upon arrival. Valet service is required for parking.

We were there for two nights, but for some reason our room was not cleaned whilst we are there. We raised with staff on checkout and they were apologetic. Not a big deal, just an expectation for a 4 star.

The location was excellent. The hotel is in the city center. There are many restaurants, markets and vibrant night scene if you are into that type of thing.

The mattress was futon-level uncomfortable. It felt as if the money that was put into the place was spent on the aesthetics more than the comfort of the room. A vinyl love seat is sanitary and easy to keep clean but it didn't sit well. That was no big deal. For an old guy, I need a better mattress. I woke up with back pain.

The staff members were welcoming.

The fact that we booked a King room and got 2 queen beds. It was odd because we booked months ago, and our friends booked a couple days before and got a King room

Very beautiful hotel and very comfortable rooms

Our vehicle got damaged while parked in valet parking. The valet parked our truck on Friday evening when we got there and brought our truck to us when we were leaving on Sunday morning. There are white scuff marks and scratches on the driver side of our black truck. The valet guy took pictures and said the manager would get ahold of us. He never did. So I called and left messages with whoever answered for valet MULTIPLE times and we NEVER got a call back. So frustrating! We live out of state which makes it more difficult! So disappointed.

Breakfast was a bit limited for the money

It was very clean - which is my number one make or break with hotels. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I also liked that there were actual full sized soaps in the shower. Lastly, I appreciated the smart TV in the rooms so I could watch something other than cable.

I was confused about the breakfast... like if it came with the room or was free. When I asked the staff said it was $20 a day. That didn't really make sense to me because most hotels have an included breakfast, so with the price of the room I assumed it was included.
