Gorge View

The hotel was very close to all of the Niagara Falls attractions as well as some great hiking trails. There is a free shuttle directly across the street from the hotel that provides transportation to the Niagara Fort, other nearby towns and state parks.

I really liked everything. The room was clean and the gentleman who runs the hostel was kind and helpful. He gave some great tips for exploring the area.

The location was fantastic. The space is large and clean.

I prefer a firmer mattress, and a hairdryer would¿ve been useful after getting wet at the falls.

Check in time was 3-7pm only, not very flexible. Unable to view the lights from Canada side, if you come from Canada.

Place looked like it was abandoned. No cars in parking lot. Parking lot was a dirt lot. This was not a "hotel". There was a buzzer at the main door with a key pad. Rang it a few times. No one answered. Got tired of waiting and booked a different hotel.

Inexpensive and clean. Loved the environment! First time staying at a hostel. The owner was amazing. Knew everything about the area and was great at giving advice about where to go!

Beds could be softer.

This is not a regular hotel. It is something akin to YMCA but few rooms. Hotel was clean.

Not realy but not serving breakfast was unusal.

The front office staff and house keepers were are super welcoming and accommodated every need and want with a smile and warm heart.

I have nothing bad to say about this establishment. 10/10 will recommend and will be back myself.

I had an awesome 6 days at the Gorge View Hostel. I will be returning in the future with my bestie so they can experience this wonderful place for themselves. I celebrated my birthday here and since the minute I arrived to this beautiful place, I was attended to by the owner, Jeff, who was very kind and courteous. A HUGE thank you to Jeff who made this trip very easy to enjoy not only did he help a struggling guest with her luggage but he was also very friendly, helpful and informative making it possible for someone like me who’s never traveled and suffers from anxiety to navigate the area successfully and stress free. This amazing hostel is a true gem. It’s clean, budget friendly and you just can’t beat the location and breathtaking views, you’d be crazy not to book a room in this place. You could even see the fireworks from Niagra on the front steps of this place. Definitely great times. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and meeting new people. I felt secure and well taken care of throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend it to solo travelers or anyone looking for a chill place to stay in the area. If you're someone who enjoys meeting other travelers and breathtaking views then it’s definitely a great choice.

Absolutely nothing and that’s why I’ll be booking again with Gorge View Hostel in the future. I can’t stress enough how beautiful it is here and so much fun. You can’t beat the hospitality.

The staff is super friendly and gives you a lot of good tips! The rooms are clean and have everything you need, great experience!

Great location, kitchen and dining area with coffee every morning. Guy at front desk was friendly enough but seemed put off when I got there earlier than I thought I would.

No bed privacy at all. My bunk was inches from the door opening to the room. Front desk is not staffed all day. It seems as though one guy runs the whole place. I think the bldg is mostly an apartment bldg.

The location was amazing. It was only a 20 minute walk crossing the Rainbow Bridge to the US/Canada border. There were also close by shuttle stops for the free Niagara bus. Free parking on site was also a bonus. Room was very clean and comfy. Would definitely stay there again.

You have to check in by 7pm or else make arrangements ahead of time. That wasn't super obvious in the reservations. Just needs to be highlighted more to avoid issues.

The room was large and spacious and included a big kitchen sink and nice views out the windows. The owner was friendly and very helpful in explaining how to get around, where to eat. It is right across the street from the aquarium and the river, so we could walk across the street and along the river to the Falls. The kitchen downstairs was well supplied with a coffee pot and coffee, microwave, refrigerator.

I didn't realize this was a hostel, so there's no coffee in the room. But the owner didn't mind us making coffee with our own pot in the room. And our room was private with a private bathroom and not on the same floor with the hostel guests, so that was fine.

I highly recommend Gorgeview Hostel.It has been my first adventure in a Hostel,I really did not know what to expect.Well it went above and beyond what I expected.It has been very comfortable and very clean and tidy.It has outstanding views and a short walk to The Falls.I love the unpretentious of staff and guest.A great way to explore all Niagara Falls and beyond.The premises are very well lit up and extremely Safe and Comfy.I will come back and highly recommend to all passing through.Thank you.D

Honestly I can not think of one thing I Did not like..

great place for a solo traveler! very close to all the main attractions, very quiet - you can sleep well. everything you need is in the house (kitchen, refrigerator). friendly host. I recommend 10 out of 10!

The location is fantastic and the building is incredibly beautiful. The owner is very helpful with directions and things to see.
