- The location is great, and it was entertaining to visit the rooftop bar under the iconic Empire Hotel sign. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- This hotel has a great location, there are a lot of subway entrances nearby and the red line train goes to many stops. Very safe and well lit area, and lots of restaurants around.
- Great location adjacent to Lincoln Center. The staff is very pleasant and extremely helpful.
Cons -
- The room was as to be expected for a NYC hotel and was comfortable, but the furnishings were a bit worn. Note that the windows of some rooms face onto airshafts, so unless you close the blackout shades other rooms can see into yours.
- We could not get the shower to work and had cold showers a few days. Generally just old, paint peeling and carpet coming up in areas. This could happen anywhere, but roach in the bathroom one night. Room was smaller than expected for the superior king.
- The hallways and room were dark, decor was definitely dated
