Location is great and the room/bed was very comfortable. The coffee shop/cafe in the lobby was awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again.
The elevator was slow, but not a deal breaker.

A very nice welcome at check in made for a smooth and fast process. Our room was spacious and comfortable which was nice for relaxing after a busy day. The location was wonderful for exploring, but also nice to be tucked down a block from Times Square. Upon check out, a reasonably priced car service was offered to take us to the airport which was comfy and quick!

It is perfectly located if you want to be close to Times Square, it is not on the main busy street and in that sense is much better located. The rooms were good, we unfortunately didn't get to visit the terrace bar on the 54th floor which was supposed to be very good. Front office staff Eva was an absolute delight and very helpful as well. All in all we had a very good stay and can highly recommend this hotel.

Large, quiet and clean rooms. Perfect location and very nice employees. We appreciated the bottled water provided each day without charge.
The elevator on the 9th floor took a long time to arrive, sometimes as long as 8 minutes or more. The Destination Fee was a joke which amounted to ‘discounts’ on services which were not necessarily part of the hotel. The front desk personnel implied that the fee was mandatory which does not meet New York State law.

The room we got was very clean, well maintained. The view was awesome! The location of the hotel, very close to Times Square and Broadway was perfect for us. The hotel staff were very helpful even during the busy new years eve.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Hyatt Centric. Overall the rooms are spacious and clean and the location is perfect for sightseeing. The staff are all really friendly and couldn't be more helpful.
For some reason, since our last visit in 2019, the hotel has decided to replace the restaurant breakfast and dining with a takeaway coffee shop concept. This means that there is no longer a full menu of breakfast options available and this also leads to a long line every morning at the coffee shop/breakfast bar. Not having access to a hotel restaurant for dinner also seems a bit unusual for a hotel that charges this much per night. Unfortunately we won’t be returning because of this.

location wise - the hotel was great, mostly all of the staff were exceptional and it was comfortable
i had put in special requests that i was travelling from dublin to celebrate my 30th - i spent hours trying to decide on what hotel to choose and chose the hyatt, they said they would arrange something for my birthday celebration - at check in, the man at the desk insured we had been upgraded, i’m not sure what the upgrade was as it was a standard room, he then offered for me to pay an additional $80-$120 per night if i wanted a better upgrade which i declined as that defeats the purpose, then got to the room expecting something for the celebration and we got greeted with 2 balloons and a generic printed card saying thanks for celebrating at the hyatt - wven 3 star hotels i’ve stayed in before have arranged better but anyway the man at the desk also tried to initially charge me $1300 for a security deposit, when i questioned what this amount was he said oh that’s the wrong amount so he inputed $500 into the card reader, i clarified with him if this gets refunded and he said yes it’s a security deposit only so upon inspection of the room, it would be returned - only to find out now that i’m home, half of the money has been refunded and i’ve been charged half, i got room service 1 of the days as i couldn’t leave the hotel room and this cost $40for a cold bagel and disgusting coffee and banana, so still missing at least $260 - i followed up with the hotel who didn’t respond until 2 days later and they are now saying it is a destination fee even though i spoke to the same man twice and clarified that the full $500 would be returned and he ensured me that it would minus room service - when i asked what the destination fee was, they explained it is for money off sightseeing destinations and roof top access (which was closed 3 of the 6 days we were staying for private functions) but also to add, my 6 month old son ended up very poorly and we needed an ambulance on our 2nd night which happened to be my 30th birthday, then stayed overnight at hospital and he was then...
