Super 8 by Wyndham Monticello NY

The location was close to the events that I was in town to attend. The room rate was good compared to the other hotels in town.

The hotel is old and in disrepair. The bathtub was Avacado green. It had been painted with "bathtub paint" that had mostly peeled off. The toilet seat was loose. the room was in need of a much needed renovation.

The lady behind the counter readily changed our room.

Very dirty. Pace looked very lived in. Changed rooms because the first room had a very noticeable smell plof pot. The second room, I saw roaches and hair everywhere. Was afraid to sleep under the covers or take shoes off or touch anything. Very dirty

The fact they had room available

If you put the 100 deposit on credit card..the hotel says that it's up to my bank but bank says hotel hasn't released hold yet and they removed amenities from rooms without updating site of changes

There was nothing to like about this hovel/hotel.

The hotel has become a flop house for addicts and homeless people. The passage ways and stairs were filthy, the room barely passable. The bath and shower unusable.

Nothing to like ! Rooms are dirty, hotel rundown and filthy. Fist room I was given , the ceiling over the tub , was sitting in water in the tub. Second room had piles of dust lining the walls around the room! Sheets were stained, missing part of floor.

Everything was not to like! This place is a dump. It¿s filthy, dirty and safety at risk.Doors to rooms barely locked, one hard push from outside and your life in jeopardy. I paid in cash and got my money back. I couldn¿t sleep there!!

Other than the price, nothing.

Room dirty, old,stinks from smoking, toilet worn out, shower disgusting, no working tv, sheets were stained and dirty.

Bugs in room, none of the light switches worked, gaps between A/C unit and wall allow outside entities in. Carpet had squares cut out of it. Not a single trash can in the room. Trash all outside on the balcony. No electrical outlets available to plug in.

Nothing!!! Do not stay there. It is discussing!! They have faked there rating and are scamming people. There is no way that they are a 3.5 star hotel! They bait people in and once they get there and not stay, they keep their money. Condemn the building!

Blood stained sheets. Every surface covered in cigarette burns. Dirt, grime, and filth in every corner! Absolutely disgusting. The bathroom was appalling. All travel sites need to ban this hotel, it is a safety hazard. Do not stay there!!

Leaving

Zero amenities, except 1 single bar of soap. Not even a trash recepticle. Then they wanted to come into the room everyday. Horrid place

Nicely situated on main street of town.

Dirty, bedraggled and substandard. Repeated problem with key card. No one on duty when I locked myself out due to the card not working in early morning. Unfortunately, this has turned me against local properties that are not part of national chain.

Leaving

Drug addicts smoking crack by room. Yelling at all hours. Ran out of hot water toilet seat was to small for toilet . Sink backed up each time we used shower backed up. Dirty everywhere I had to ask for pillows first night there only had one.

Quiet

Unsavory people nodding off and in/out hotel all night. Below 0° weather, no heat, cracks in wall, space under and on side of door where you can see outdoors and feel the air. No hot water, just warm water. Blood on curtains. Just terrible experience.

Check in was smooth and the gentleman at the front desk was lovely.

We stayed only 2 nights but even that was difficult with the intense odor in the room. Like old cigarette and weed smoke and mustiness. The room/bathroom was pretty broken down and not as pictured.

Enough towels, good ac, staff was nice

The hotel looks run down. The shower curtains were dirty. Bathroom needs remolding. The area didn¿t look safe. If all you need is a place to sleep and continue your trip-then it¿s good for the price.

The location was great. Everything you need was within reach. For ones doing a short lay over it was great. Refrigerator, microwave and pet friendly. The front desk was good about changing rooms when I asked and info I needed to go and get things needed.

The entrance is hard to see since it has only one way in and out. For ones traveling with pets not much selection for walking places near by.

I understand that $---doesn¿t get a whole lot for a hotel. It was the only thing available for my date. There¿s absolutely nothing I liked about this hotel. No hot water, so no shower. Overall very old & dirty

After checking in we proceeded to find our room. Outside steps to the 2nd floor were filthy. Once we got to our room it went even more downhill. We couldn¿t take our shoes off , the carpet was very old, stained, & smelly. The floors were squishy.

I chose the hotel based on price and proximity to my final destination.

The hotel was noisy, in disrepair, smelled of smoke, and didn't feel safe. It was the first time I chose not to stay in a hotel I had booked and found a room elsewhere for the night.

Hotel was not as it appeared on the website. Need more pictures. Unsafe area. Ended up not staying at this hotel and found another one to stay in for the night. Was unable to cancel without penalty of being charged for 1 night¿s stay.
