Pros +
- Nothing. It was disgusting and dirty
- The property was so horrible that we didn't stay
- the location was ok
Cons -
- It smelled. Entrance rug filthy. Creepy dark lobby. Old wall carpet in room. Chair broken. No mattress pad under the sheet. Blood stains on white quilt (uncovered). We kept the window opened wide and checked out at 7 am. Couldn't wait to leave.
- Scary location, homeless people hanging out in the doorway, broken windows, trash in parking lot, stinky filthy lobby, an absolute nightmare
- The hotel itself was dilapidated to the max, filthy dirty, no service whatsoever....I wouldn't let my dog stay there. We didn't get our room until after b8 at night, and after driving all day, we had no choice but stay there or sleep in our car.

Black mold in my bathroom and peeling paint off the walls was the highlight of the room with ripped sheets to top it off
The black mold, ripped sheets, peeling paint and mold smell . Being told that their cleaning staff often ignores rooms and mine was one of them is the cherry on top of the cake
Location
It was disgustingly dirty. My bed had dirty sheets and the windows were filthy. The room had an overwhelming scent of cleaner that got stuck to all my clothes
Location
Pillow case smelled like not cleaned.Staff denied, argued when told.Ran out of eggs by 8am tho brfst til 9:30.Boxes of supplies by stairs,in front window. Derelict lkg from outside.1 star hotel max
Parking was easy. Location was great.
Seemed that hotel was pretty empty, and yet we were put next to another guest who came back at 1am. If the hotel is sparsely populated, please space guests out.
Everything worked, staff capable and courteous, room nice, no frills but also no problems. Very good value for money relative to other options.
The sheets and toilet paper were low quality. There were some red paint spots showing through the blue paint on the wall. This hotel relies on its location and could use some upgrades.
St. Charles is a very old hotel. We knew that when we booked, but we had no real choice when booking. Probably it was a good hotel in its youth. There are hints of an earlier status.
The free breakfast is minimal. The renovations were minimal. The staff appears to consist of two men - one who manages and another man who provides "maid service." Although we travel often, we have not paid as much at better hotels.
Pricing and breakfast included, room clean, location is good but there was major construction going on w/railroad that goes through town of Hudson and had to detour to get to Warren St.
Couldn't close room window, but because the weather was warm, that was ok, just didn't help w/construction noise each morning 7am/8am.
Big room, breakfast included, great location, helpful staff
Modest, but good hotel for people traveling through this part of the Hudson Valley. The hotel is located just off Hudson's main street, Warren Street, at the upper, east end. Comfortable walk to many of the shops, restaurants. Overall, a good value.
Staff very accomodating and friendy Hotel clean and great location
The staff was excellent, young man dave thats running hotel went far and beyond expectations the lady sunshine ¿¿ was so full of energy I really had a great time definitely will visit again.
The breakfast could use a change...
Convenient to the area I was visiting.
1. In-room safe not available. 2. My room (300) in-room phone inoperative & filthy 3. A/C Unit noisy. Condenser fins & filter filthy. 4. Shower floor slippery. 5. No place to hang towel by the shower door. 6. There was no maid service Sunday.
Hotel was horrible, bad area, homeless people hanging in front of building and not what I expected.
Police banging on our door at 6:30 am because a homeless person was shot with a BB gun across the street.
The staff were terrific - friendly and helpful. The location is also good. There is a nice breakfast area.
The hotel could use some maintenance. The shower floor was too slippery to use without a towel on the floor. The ice machine did not work.
The location was very good.. the staff was helpful. The room was very clean. Nice bathroom.
The room was too small.
there was nothing I liked about my experience at the St. Charles Hotel overcharged with all kinds of charges, the hotel isn't clean and is falling apart. Room keys didn't work the TV didn't work the AC would not go off hence we froze to death windows open
