Renaissance Albany Hotel

Very attractive hotel. Room was a very nice size. Separate sofa seating area......... Large bathroom

Lighting in the room was nonexistent. Dimly lit. No way to have full lighting. A struggle to see. Definitely need to improve this issue.

Location was very important for me. I enjoyed the room comfort and quality.

Dirty dishes in the hallway. Sat there for 36 hours or so. Still there when I left.

I think you under rated this hotel. It said on your website 3.5 stars, I believe this was a 5 star hotel. Beautiful and modern room, the entrance looked like a historic museum. Absolutely beautiful!

Nope. It exceeded our expectations.

There is really nothing to redeem this hotel from its many problems.

The interior design is dreadful, there is no storage in-room, no microwave, not enough towels, phone system/front desk staff are inconsistent, food from the hotel's restaurant is great, though.

I liked the location and the modern feel of the hotel

The staff was not very helpful. We had issues with the toilet not working and had to change rooms after being settled, the cold staff was not helpful and couldn't even supply us with a bottle of water,wish I had more characters to explain more.

It was really clean, the room was updated and spacious, and the location was superb. The view of the capitol building was incredible!

Decor

We found a toenail clipping on our floor. We only had one set of towel/ washcloths for 4 people. All vending machines were empty.

This is hands down my favorite hotel in the capital district. Its beautiful great atmosphere, restaurant, staff and service are all great!

The water pressure in the bathrooms need to be improved. No reason it should take so long to rinse the shampoo from my hair. Needs better water pressure otherwise the stay was a 10.

Location and cleanliness

When I booked the room it stated it could be a king o two queen beds. When I arrived I was told it was only a king bed, and that it was all that was available.

I did not think the room was very practical. I had to use the lobby bathroom while my roommate was in the shower because I spilled my hands and there were not any tissues or anything nearby. The only other plug for my curling iron was near the bed and mir

There was no complimentary breakfast and the minimal available for purchase was very minimal for the price. I will likely not stay again.

The view of downtown Albany. Woke up on Easter morning to the sun shining on the capital building! Beautiful.

Beautiful hotel with tasteful updates, definitely nicest in Albany! Very comfortable beds, great showers... a peaceful retreat after a long day. Excellent staff from check-in to check-out and everywhere in between! Lamar was particularly helpful.

Breakfast wasnt included, but well worth the price. Very gourmet presentation of egg whites!

Smell mold in shower. $17 parking per night.

The hotel is stylish and felt like we were staying in a museum of modern art.

With limited food choices on the weekend, a complimentary breakfast would have been very nice.

Nice hotel - fairly new or re-furbished so the room was nice and clean. The location right downtown is nice. valet parking and could walk to where I needed to go. Food was pretty good at the hotel restaurant

I had a room near the elevator and got woken up by the beeping of the elevator. Is it necessary for an elevator to ding loudly when it opens? Service at the hotel restaurant was not good at all. Music was even worse.

Was pleasantly surprised at just how nice this hotel was. Very hip and trendy decor. Great Staff. Great hotel bar and food. Would definitely stay there again if I was in Albany

Convenient

The mattress sits within the frame of the bed, creating an uncomfortable edge when the mattress sinks below the hard edge.

Nice and comfortable

For the amount of money I paid for this hotel. The hotel did. Or offer complimentary breakfast. That is insane. This is a rip off. This doesn't make any sense.
