Pros +

  • Super charming and authentic feel with the wood burning fireplace. The breakfast was outstanding!
  • Southwest character and charm. comfortable beds and delicious Made to order breakfast, the grounds were enchanting. staff was friendly and helpful. the casita was older but that added to it's charm. everything was functional
  • The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Their suggestions for old town were great and they provided you with a map as well. The gardens and grounds were really nice as well. Also breakfast was fantastic.

Cons -

  • The cleanliness in the bathrooms - my husband cleaned the floor because of all the long hair. It had been mopped, but just swiped around without cleaning.
  • The shower did not have hot water. The staff was helpful but you just have to tell them as soon as you find out as the maintenance man is only available at certain times.
  • No update since it was built. Electric sockets were loose and probably a fire hazard. Heat hard to control with floor base heaters. Rooms were tiny - no place to put 2 suitcases. Did not appear clean but hard to tell with cracked tiles on floors. Old TV

It is a charming 1930's group of cottages formerly built by an artist to house his fellow artists. It is a cluster of rooms surrounding a beautiful, green courtyard. The included breakfast was tasty and filling and they had a chef prepare it.

People were friendly. Breakfast was good. Grounds were pretty.

Brick headboard on bed.

So lucky to have found Casas de Suenos. Short, pleasant walk to old town Albuquerque. Each casa is different and located facing a 3 acre courtyard with brick paths lined with incredible old roses. Breakfast was wonderful, made to order.

There was nothing I would change to improve my stay. The staff was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. The breakfast was remarkable, and the grounds were lovely.

Walking distance to great shops and restaurants, great privacy, adorable casitas, very pleasant and homey. And a great breakfast!

Charming, former artist's colony with art filled grounds and gardens, around which the little houses/rooms/apts are arranged. Great homemade, cooked to order breakfast from wonderful cooks. Staff were very helpful. Close to Old Town and the Bio-Park.

Location just outside Old Town, there was a lot of road construction, but that is temporary. Great if you want a kitchen or like funky, off beat places. IF you like big corporate hotels, this is not for you.

Charming old New Mexico vibe close to old town. Quiet with eccentric art, numerous fountains, generous and comfortable casitas and a good breakfast.

Character. Inexpensive.

Old and dated. Kitchen very poorly stocked (no forks, one spoon...)

We loved the style of room...we loved the court yard...

Well, for the amount that was paid for the room..It was not a pleasant stay..We got no sleep due to a vibrating sound all night..We think it was coming from the bedroom air vent...And was very shocked at your towels that were offered in the room. Fraying.

Location was very close to everything in Albuquerque. Breakfast was very good. Fireplace in room was very nice and the room was very nice.

They just made the bed, did not change the sheets during our stay.

Pleasant staff. Nice room. Full breakfast.

Walking home at night on dark streets was a little discomforting.

7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 4-25-2015

Great location. Quiet. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good.

The bathroom wasn't very clean and I killed several roaches in the bathroom.

The unique character and location near Old Town

7AliciaPosted on: 4-20-2016

Artistic details

Seems dated. Wear and tear on buildings that is not repaired and looks shabby.

10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 2-1-2016

Old but well maintained. We enjoyed the stay very much and would recommend to all
