The Cove

The location was great, room was clean and comfortable.

The air conditioner was quite loud. Our room was on the first floor and windows opened onto the front porch so we needed to keep the shades drawn, little privacy.

The location was perfect. The room was small but manageable ESPECIALLY if you put a rod in the closet and hangers and hooks. I loved the bathroom. The establishment was very clean and felt cozy and safe.

The room was clean. The bathroom was a good size and the shower worked well. It seemed like it had been upgraded. We also enjoyed the porch very much and the porch furniture was well maintained. We enjoyed the pool area. The room had a mini fridge and microwave. Both worked well. The room had a pull out couch in addition to 2 queen and 1 king beds.

We felt overall we needed to solve our own problems. The front desk staff are minimally helpful, did not greet us or wish us a good stay. There are no directions provided by staff or in the room for how to get help (towels, wifi password). There was no phone in the room or way to contact the desk except in person (or using your cell phone). We never received the code to the room (despite multiple attempts) and were provided 2 keys for 2 locks on the door (keychain fell apart). We had to request a 2nd set of keys for our stay and were only provided 1 key to unlock 1 of the locks (we were told it unlocked both). There were 2 remotes for 3 televisions. One remote interferes with the other TV while using. The charging night stands in one room had no outlet and were not plugged in. The room with 2 queen beds does not have a door (only the king bedroom). Air conditioners are window units. One unit is next to the 2 queen beds. There was 1 small trash can in the bathroom. We did not receive any housekeeping service during our stay and had to seek toilet paper, trash can liners, towels, extra blanket, and coffee cups for the Keurig in the main floor common area (no creamer provided until the last day of our stay). We also provided our own water for the Keurig. The coffee leaked through the cup onto my leg the first day (we noticed sturdier cups were stocked on the last day). There is a chest in the lobby that says 'ice' but it is empty. There are no elevators and we did stay on the 3rd floor. Hallways/stair wells are narrow and dark until a certain time in the AM if you are an early riser. The lobby door is supposed to be locked after a certain time at night (that code was provided) but we found it to be mostly open. There are no safes in the room for valuables. The pool is 5 feet, no lifeguards or towels, gate also not locked. Parking was limited, and I lost my spot after running to Acme for first aid items. I had to wait for a spot to open.

I loved the location, the comfort and cleanliness.

I did not see any staff and I wish there was a mini mart or at least a bottle of water inside the room.

They donâ≢t have a staff member working all the time. The number they left to call if there Is An issue was busy. The bath was small. They had people sleeping in the lobby on the Couches for the guests. 2 days I couldnâ≢t get new towels. Garage left aro

For the most part the staff was polite and accomadating. Room was spacious and clean. Only a couple blocks from the boardwalk. At night it was quiet and relaxing.

We asked for a late check out..check out is at 10a. Lady at front desk said no but she would give us an extra night for just ---$ as a special. There was a misunderstanding w the room number and at first the lady at front desk was a bit rude and harsh.
