SpringHill Suites by Marriott East Rutherford Meadowlands/Carlstadt

Facilities are great, seems like recently renovated so everything feels new. Bed was comfortable and room very spacious with a big bathroom and a very handy space for working remotely.Service was very good by most of the personnel.The 163 bus passes right in front of the hotel and it brings you to port authority bus station, so if you are planning on visiting NYC that is very handy, also 10min drive from Secaucus train station.

List of what I didn't like:- There is no restaurant! this was a pain during my stay - stayed for three weeks- way too long to be eating take away food.- There is nothing walkable distance around the hotel.- Breakfast was very basic and not good quality. No waffle maker.- There's no water bottles in the room and no water fountains in the hotel. I asked at reception and they said water bottles are only for platinum members, never heard this before in any other hotel and I travel a good bit.- Room cleaning wasn't great, I shed a lot of hair so It was very noticeable whenever they didn't clean. Bed wasn't properly done, sometimes it looked like they just threw the blankets on the bed without tucking them in. Seemed like they weren't cleaning the shower.

Very clean, nicely sized and styled rooms, had a bar!, and breakfast was great.

We visited over New Years Eve so I'm not sure if they were short-staffed /whether its related, but they didn't provide daily cleaning of the rooms!

Breakfast was good.

No waffle maker ?

I wish yall had separate rooms or joined rooms .
