Pros +

• Convenient to Tail of the Dragon. Offered room that worked for a slight disability. Funky. Friendly cat - came right in while we were loading in. Fire pit was nice for visiting. Glad to have fridge, but freezer door wouldn't close due to frost buildup. Be
• we stayed here last year in April. When my mother-in-law passed away this year we stayed in the same place for my brother-in-law passing away. The staff here is very nice. The hotel is very old but you know they take very good care of their stuff.
• Hotel manager was friendly, outgoing, and aware of hotel checkin status and guests. He appeared to know the rooms and the uniquenesses of each. He had bike-specfic parking. He was good natured and willingly shared information about the surrounding area.

Cons -

• A little too funky. Room really needed to be aired out, kind of musty. Poor lighting. No hanging space. Horrible couch - took up needed space and poor seating. Bathroom was tight, hot water took forever to get warm. Needs total refresh.
• The sheets had some debris on them. They weren't dirty but I wasn't sure what the material was. I folded the bedspread over me instead of getting into the sheets.
• 1. The room was filthy 2. The shower was tiny, and had mold in it 3. The floor was dirty -- had not been vacuumed 4. Light fixtures had lights out 5. The electric heater for the room was rusty 6. Never saw the hotel manager -- had a substitute
