Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Durham

This hotel was at an ideal location, with a few restaurants in walking distance. If you are feeling adventurous, there is also a Walmart around 30 mins walking or around 10 minutes driving. No surprises, the level of the hotel lines up with its ratings.

The rooms could do well with some improvement. I had to change rooms because the curtains could not close. The appliances and closet doors are broken. But in the end , it's a lower end hotel, so it's okay travelling through and getting a 2 nights rest.

Location and ease of checking in and out, comfortable bed

Breakfast left a lot to be desired, eggs looked rubbery, waffle maker was broken. Bathroom was a bit tiny too. Other than that nice for our stay

Location, Leaving

A Black bikers club rented out 2 floors and partied to 4-5am, 2 nights in a row. Yelling & screaming, loud music, running up and down hallways, slamming doors. Front desk would/could do nothing about it. Police called 3 times to no avail.

Smell of Marijuana, room had a hole in the wall and carpet leading to 2nd floor was dirty. The only icemaker working was on the 1st floor.
