Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte SouthPark

The hotel had a lot of comforts like a heated indoor pool (no hot tub though), small gym, wireless internet service area with 2 computers and 2 printers, excellent complimentary continental breakfast (no restaurant), gathering lobby area with 2 TV's and tables and chairs, small snack and convenience area to buy things by the front deck, Laundry: 2 washers, 2 dryers, outdoor small basketball area, outdoor fire pit area with some seating, barbecue grille and parking (fee). The place was pet friendly (certain conditions). During breakfast, there was a separate area to get coffee, teas, and hot chocolate but they took it away as soon as breakfast was done. The hotel was within walking distance of some restaurants and shops. The staff was amazingly very friendly and polite. We arrived early morning around 10:00 am and they let us check in to our 2 bedroom suite at that time. The bathrooms did have shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as a hairdryer.

Things that need a lot of attention with is the Housekeeping. Very poor during our stay. We booked a 4 night stay in a 2 bedroom suite and never received any type of Housekeeping service. We never received any clean towels during our whole stay. We had to reuse the towels we were using or pick some clean ones up down in the pool area. The fireplace in our suite was not working properly. I told the front desk about the issue twice, but no one ever came to fix it. Our trash cans were never emptied and the small kitchen trash can ((we had a full kitchen in our suite), I had to literally carry down to the lobby and empty into one of their bigger trash cans twice! The comfort of our suite and amenities outweighed the housekeeping issue and we just overlooked that part of our stay although we shouldn't have had too.

Location is excellent. Many outlets in the bedroom. Nice desk and tv. Appliances are new. Clean.

Front desk is disorganized, beds are not comfortable, and shower is mediocre. Not a comfortable stay overall. Parking is also paid ($10 a day).

everything was excellent at this Residence Inn. The rooms were spacious, and clean. The breakfast was very good.

the elevator button in the basement pool area didn't always work, which was an issue, but hopefully it is fixed now. We only stayed one night.

Stay was great. It is in a very good area, around alot of things.

Property was having maintenance (painting). The lifts being used were right outside our windows and constantly beeping (first thing in the morning even on Saturday and Sunday). Being a leisure or business trip it would have been nice to not be woken by the noise. Our windows were covered in plastic as well.
