    Pros +

    • The staff was very friendly and the Inn was beautiful. The breakfast was a nice bonus. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We enjoyed walking to the stores and restaurants around the square and down the street. The Inn is located near some really nice hiking trails as well.
    • The breakfast was excellent, the service was wonderful, the ambience charming.
    • The building is beautifully restored and you get the essence and experience of staying in a historic building but with modern comforts. It is perfectly and conveniently located on the town square. The breakfast buffet is most excellent with an array of home-cooked and baked choices, in fact, the best breakfast buffet I've had in a number of years. The carriage house was a good spot for a light dinner and good cocktail! A wood burning fireplace in the lobby area was the icing on the cake for a chilly November stay.

    Cons -

    • Our only challenge was not having an elevator. My partner (a veteran) has neuropathy and the stairs were a challenge. We managed but now that we've been there we know that we cannot handle a 3d floor room.
    • Floors are pretty creaky but hey, it's a historic building and it adds to the experience! There was nothing I didn't like or appreciate about the experience.

We loved the historical aspects of the hotel. Staff are very friendly! Our room was spotless! Hotel was in the town square close to shops and restaurants.

    Everything was great!

Wonderful historic hotel! Completely refurbished and updated. The room was attractive, cozy, immaculate, with a comfortable bed, and a beautiful bathroom, newly tiled. Amanda was warm, friendly and very accommodating. The little town of Burnsville is very quaint with a classic town square. Around the corner is the Carriage House restaurant which is classy and inviting with a varied menu, friendly staff. This hotel is a great find!

Nothing because they wouldn’t let me bring my service dog inside

The fact that it says pets are aloud online but doesn’t specify that it’s only certain rooms that allow pets . So when you’re about to check in with a pet and they tell you your 6 lb Pomeranian service dog could not come inside , so I had to sleep outside in my car with my dog because there wasn’t a way for me to find anywhere else in this small town to stay , it was a horrible experience because she could have even charged me a pet fee after seeing I wasn’t from there or worked something out but she didn’t because I’m not one of her kind. But she made it her business to keep harassing me about my dog like as if she was concerned where I was going to keep my dog , it took everything in me to not tell this white woman to shut the hell up because I didn’t want to get kicked out the only hotel that was left . She said “you know we have cameras “ this was her way of trying to test me because she thought I was going to still bring my dog inside , I wondered if I was white would she have kept harassing me about my dog after I told her I wasn’t going to bring my dog into their stupid hotel . Looks like something from the 1930s , gives me the creeps. This hotel has racism etched in the walls floors and even the paint , This town has nothing but white people that don’t want blacks there so I won’t be back not even to WORK

Gorgeous building, great amenities, friendly staff, super comfortable pillows/bedding!

A little bit on the pricier side.

It was very nice, clean, spacious room. Great bathroom.

Had noise from the street. A sound machine would have been nice.
