    Pros +

    • The staff was friendly and the people visiting were quiet
    • small room was comfortable
    • it was reasonably close to Biltmore Estate

    Cons -

    • There is a train track that is so close to the motel that when a train comes by, it sounds like it is going to hit the building. A train went by almost every hour from midnight-6am. I got no sleep. And the room only had decaf coffee!
    • no heat in bathroom
    • old and tired... it's just a place to sleep and shower

The price was good, relatively speaking. It's peak leaf season, so the price I paid was really high for the quality of the room, but reasonable given what other hotel prices in the area were at that time.

The room smelled funny, and the carpet was very, very dusty around the perimeter. The toilet wouldn't reliably fill back up once flushed...you had to take off the tank lid and jostle the fixtures inside first.

The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and clean

It only had a shower and no tub and not enough electrical outlets

It is near west asheville and downtown, making it easy to get around. The staff was very nice despite what other reviewers have said. The family lives on-site and does everything from front desk to cleaning.

The rooms are very small and outdated, but very clean and comfortable.

    room was clean, beds comfortable,

upholstered chairs stained needed a lamp on table to eat, read etc. towels skimpy, thin, had to ask for extras no hangers in closet no place to set suitcase - only on the floor or bed

    Nothing good.

The staff who speaks in broken english doesn't know the meaning of customer service. The man tried to charge me extra b/c we slept in 2 beds instead of just one. You rent the room, not the beds but he didn't understand that. STAY AWAY!

Convenience store near and grocery, gym, laundry facility, restaurants, and many more within 5 minutes walking distance from the eclectic motel and it's charming quaint ambience and quiet adjacent surroundings.

    Nothing comes 2 mind.

Very bare and low rent. But clean.

Friendly staff.. clean rooms.. great location

The manager was very nice and accommodating. I booked the wrong room (one bed) he switched my room to a 2 bed with no trouble. The bathroom sink was very pretty shower was great. Bedspreads was cute with bears so fitting for this area. Pet friendly was a big plus. And they had smoking rooms YAH. So hard to find ? owners think your pets are not family and smoking people are bad in most motels. So this stay was a very pleasant one. Would stay again if in the area again.

Air conditioning was outdated and didn't see heat as it was some chilly.

Well the staff didn"t speak english, well. The walls were very thin. Wecould hear each of the neihbors. There wasn't any water pressure. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. There wss also no local TV channel guid We didn't have a very good experience.

The location was fantastic, right off of the highway. Couldn't really beat it for the price.

The wifi was borked the farther away from the office you got, but much to the owner's credit he was on the phone trying to rectify the problem as I was checking my email.

    8JasonPosted on: 11-16-2013

It was quiet, the price was reasonable, it was close to the US cellular arena.

    No complaints from me

    5VerifiedPosted on: 10-6-2013

It was the cheapest we could find.

Staff issues were a bit hit or miss, but perhaps thats to be expected for a very inexpensive family owned hotel?

    1IvanPosted on: 6-18-2013

Just don't stay here, trust me. There are plenty of other Hotels that will be at your service. This is not the only one and I advise you just choose another, unless you're willing to be patient with a language barrier and not be offered any other options for changing your date or time without being charged the full amount twice.

Communication with management was horrendous. Due to unexpected storm/unsafe driving conditions we asked politely to change the date of arrival however upon answering their phone they said they didnt understand the english I was speaking and didnt help us
